Accidents

Sept. 27, 7:30 p.m. – Two vehicle, injury accident, 1700 block of West 6th Street. Driver information was not made available. One driver was cited for dangerous left turn and two occupants of the car hit were injured but declined medical services. A report was taken.

Sept. 29, 7:33 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury accident, 1200 block of State Road. Driver information is not available. Driver swerved to avoid hitting a deer and ran into a fence. A report was taken.

Sept. 29, 2:24 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, Cherry Heights and Sandstone streets. Driver information not available. Deputy assisted with the exchange of information.

Oregon State Police – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 82. Cinthya L. Villasensor Ramirez, 19, no listed address was the involved driver. Ramirez was traveling when she lost control of the vehicle and slid across both lanes and off the road where the vehicle was stuck in the mud. A tow truck was called to help extract the vehicle which had minimal damage.

Sept. 30, 10:53 a.m. – A vehicle being towed behind a motorhome caught fire I-84 westbound, milepost 116. Driver was able to unhitch from the burning vehicle. Gilliam County Fire responded to extinguish the fire.

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

Personnel responded to six calls for emergency medical services on Friday, five on Saturday, four on Sunday and three on Monday.

Monday, 2:06 p.m.: Crews responded to a smoke investigation at 2020 Liberty Way, The Dalles. Smoke alarms were going off in the home, and smoke was visible inside and coming from the chimney. Crews were unable to enter the home, as the house was locked and large dogs were patrolling the inside of the home. Owner was contacted and arrived to open the doors and corral the dogs. A piece of wood had rolled to the door of the fireplace, the door slightly open. Logs were extinguished and removed from the house. The house was ventilated.

Michael Aaron Zimmaro, 25, no listed address, was arrested Friday morning in the 800 block of Pomona Street on a circuit court warrant for parole violation. He is also accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines. John Dean Patton, 34, 1916 East 9th St., was also arrested on a municipal court warrant for failure to appear and is also accused of violation of a restraining order. Vernon Wesley Patton, 59, 823 Pomona St. Unit A, was also arrested and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

A theft report was taken Friday morning from the 700 block of East 12th Street after a victim reported their bike was stolen.

A restraining order violation report was taken Friday afternoon from the 900 block of East 7th Street after a victim reported a male subject is sending her emails violating the restraining order; the incident is under investigation.

Kasey Lauren Crossan, 20, 1501 East 11th St. Unit A, was arrested Friday afternoon in the community corrections office on a circuit court warrant for probation violation.

A criminal mischief report was taken Friday afternoon from the 400 block of West 2nd Place after a victim reported a rock was thrown through a window.

Shaune Earl Meilike, 29, no listed address, was arrested Friday evening in the 600 block of East 3rd Street on a Florence municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

A theft report was taken Friday evening from the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street after an employee advised two male suspects fled the store without paying for items.

A second-degree theft report was taken early Saturday morning from the 1700 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported a bike was stolen.

A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday morning from the 1400 block of East 12th Street after a victim reported someone threw jars of mayonnaise and salsa at her home.

A theft report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 3200 block of Brett Clodfelter Way after an employee advised a female suspect fled the store without paying for items.

Police responded to the 1300 block of West 6th Street Saturday afternoon after a victim reported a male subject who she has a restraining order against followed her into a store. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

A theft report was taken Saturday evening from the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street after an employee advised that several subjects came in to cash stolen gift cards. The incident is under investigation.

Linda Lou Perkins, 59, Dallesport, was arrested Sunday morning in the 3200 block of Brett Clodfelter Way and is accused of second-degree criminal trespass.

A hit and run report was taken Sunday morning from the 1400 block of East 14th Street.

A theft report was taken Sunday morning from the 1700 block of East 14th Street after a victim reported their bike was stolen.

A found property report was taken Sunday morning from West 4th and Lincoln streets after a suitcase was located. It was taken back to the station for safekeeping.

A hit and run report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 3200 block of West 7th Street.

Police responded to East 11th and Jefferson streets early Monday morning on a report of a subject lying on the ground unresponsive. Subject was taken to the hospital by medics and his property was seized for safekeeping. A report was taken.

A flowering kale was pulled up by its roots from a planter box Monday morning in the 300 block of East 2nd. Report taken.

A business van parked in the 400 block of Lincoln street was entered through a window and rummaged through. Nothing appeared to be missing. Report taken for unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.

Driver of a vehicle stopped at Mount Hood and 2nd streets was cited for texting while driving.

Wasco County

William Jay Culpus, 49, Warm Springs, was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop at East 2nd and Brewery Grade streets and is accused of driving while suspended and driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Deputy responded to the 3100 block of Mill Creek Road Sunday morning after a caller reported two foster children that were staying the night had run away. A report was taken.

A resident in the 5000 block of Highway 30 reported five marijuana plants stolen. Report taken for theft.

A resident of Frontage Road received a voice message saying that if he didn’t call back a bomb would go off. The call appeared to originate from overseas. Deputy recorded message and forwarded to a federal agency.

Oregon State Police

A male suspect was cited and released for unlawful taking of a deer without a hunting tag Saturday morning in the White River unit. The deer was seized.

Officers stopped a vehicle Monday morning for expired tags, driver cited for driving while suspended and possession of less then an ounce of mariuana.

Sherman County

Joshua Daniel Aldrich, 35, Oakridge, was arrested Friday afternoon during a traffic stop in Moro on a Sherman County warrant for failure to appear. He is also accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines. Maria Theresa Jumawan Moore, 43, Oakridge, was also arrested and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Regional Jail

Heidi Anne Morrison, 39, 317 E. 14th street was lodged at NORCOR early Tuesday morning and faces charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Nicole K. Jim, 31, White Swan, Wash., was lodged at NORCOR early Monday morning and is charged with failure to carry or present license and giving false information to a police officer.

Brian Daniel Rousseau, 54, Newberg, was arrested and lodged at NORCOR Monday evening and faces charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Eric R. Koester, 59, Bend, was arrested and lodged at NORCOR Monday and faces charges of retaining a foul-hooked salmon.

Ramin Adam Eshragh, Vancouver, Wash., was arrested and lodged at NORCOR Monday morning where he faces charges of second degree theft.
