Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

October 1, 1:24 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 3600 block of West 8th Street on a report of smoke coming from a home. The area was searched but no problem was found. Contact was made with the caller who pointed out the house where they observed the smoke. Contact was made with that homeowner who was not in any distress and no problem was located.

Personnel also responded to two calls for emergency medical services.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

A burglary report was taken Tuesday morning from the 2600 block of West 2nd Street after a business owner advised someone broke through the gate into their storage yard. The incident is under investigation.

A theft report was taken Tuesday afternoon from the 700 block of Court Street after a victim reported their skateboard was stolen.

Police responded to the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street Tuesday evening on a report of two juvenile shoplifters in custody. Store declined to pursue charges against the subjects but they were trespassed from the store. They were released to their parents.

Preston Leigh Allen, 20, no listed address, was arrested early Wednesday morning during a traffic stop at East 3rd and Taylor streets on a municipal court warrant for failure to pay fines and two circuit court warrants for first-degree theft and criminal possession of rented or leased property.

Richard Lee David, 43, 2113 East 12th St., was arrested early Wednesday morning in the 500 block of Washington Street and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and probation violation.

Wasco County

A theft report was taken Tuesday morning from Mason Road after a victim reported someone stole diesel from a tractor.

Deputy responded to the 3800 block of West 10th Street Tuesday evening on a report of an out of control juvenile female. Mother reported her daughter was punching holes in the walls of the home. Juvenile was cited for second-degree criminal mischief and was removed from the home for the evening.

Oregon State Police

Nathan Jeffery Soliday, 25, Pullman, Wash., arrested Tuesday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 69, is accused of unlawful possession and delivery of marijuana, and driving uninsured.

Parole and Probation

Juan Martin Perez Hammond, 22, 3215 West 7th St. Unit B, was arrested Tuesday morning in the community corrections office and is accused of three counts of probation violation.
