The Dalles City

October 3, 4:47 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 500 block of East 3rd Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

Wasco County

October 3, 8:19 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, Dufur. Deputy assisted with the exchange of information. Both vehicles were towed and no citations were issued; a report was taken.


Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue personnel responded to five calls for emergency medical services.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

A first-degree theft report was taken Thursday morning from the 2000 block of East 13th Street after a victim reported some tools were removed from a work trailer.

A hit and run report was taken Thursday morning from West 7th and Pomona Streets after a public works employee advised their vehicle was hit and the vehicle fled the scene. The suspect was found later in the afternoon and cited for hit and run and driving while suspended.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Thursday morning from the 3100 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported a vehicle was broken into and items missing.

A runaway report was taken Thursday afternoon from the 900 block of Washington Street.

An informational report was taken Thursday evening from the 1600 block of East 12th Street after a child was brought in with suspicious injuries. The incident is under investigation.

Jason Michael Barker, 26, no listed address, was arrested Thursday evening in the 1200 block of West 6th Street on a municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Wasco County

Deputy responded to Tygh Ridge on Highway 197 Thursday afternoon on a report of an accidental gunshot wound to the foot. Victim stated he was walking and had a loaded pistol in his fanny pack, he then fell causing the gun to discharge, shooting himself in the foot. An informational report was taken.

Parole and Probation

Juan Carlos Navarro, 19, 1109 Laughlin St., was arrested Thursday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.
