Fellowship of Churches

The guest speaker for the Tuesday, Oct. 22, monthly forum of the Mid-Columbia Fellowship of Churches will be Fr. Joseph Levine from St. Peter Catholic Church. The topic he has selected is: “The Path to God Through Conscience,” which will include: 1. Love The Truth And Do What Is Right; 2. From Light Into Light; 3. The Need for Humility; and 4. The Ecumenical Importance of Conscience. He will include some quotes from Pope Francis. There will be an opportunity for guests to ask questions.

The forum begins at 5 p.m. with a light snack, provided this month by St Paul’s Episcopal Church. The forum is held at First United Methodist Church, 11th and Washington streets. The event is open to the public.

Gateway Presbyterian

Pastor Tim Vance will speak at the 8:30 a.m. traditional service and 11 a.m. contemporary service. Adult, youth and children’s classes are from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Oct. 13 is Missions Sunday.

Wednesday programs are: youth group at 6 p.m.; Beth Moore “James” women’s study, which opens at 6 p.m. for check-in. Class time is 6:30 to 8 p.m.; men’s study; and Parenting Today, at 5:30 p.m.; the Marriage Course, at the Riverenza; and home groups.

Children’s ministries are provided for parents and guardians attending classes at Gateway during this time.

MOPS meets weekly now, Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. The first Thursday of the month is a MOPS meeting, the fourth Thursday is a MOPS outing and the second and third Thursdays are Play Day at Gateway.
