Fire

October 17, 7:20 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 1600 block of Brewery Grade on a grass fire. Upon arrival a vegetation fire was found that was starting to burn up standing trees. The fire was attended by the property owner who was counseled on following the rules of his burning permit. The fire was knocked down. Crews responded to the same location later in the morning on a report of a large fire. Owner had piled up more debris and created a large pile but was following the rules of his permit, no problem was found.

Personnel also responded to five calls for emergency medical services.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

A criminal mischief report was taken Wednesday morning from the 500 block of Cherry Heights Road after a victim reported he stopped to let a subject cross the road and a vehicle behind him honked their horn. The driver then got out of that vehicle and punched the victim’s car and sped away. The incident is under investigation.

Jamie Ann Pyatt, 31, no listed address, was arrested Wednesday afternoon during a traffic stop in the 400 block of West 8th Street on a municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Gregory George Keller, 51, 3430 West 10th St., was arrested Wednesday afternoon in his home and is accused of probation violation.

Wasco County

Kent Melvin Kramer, 53, 2628 West 10th St., was arrested Wednesday morning in his home and is accused of fourth-degree assault and interference with making a report.

Regional Jail

Patrick Carrol Wallace, 68, Pendleton, was transported and jailed Wednesday after being arrested on a Sherman County warrant for probation violation.

Randall Lance Mosqueda, 45, no listed address, was transported by Umatilla County and jailed Wednesday after being arrested on a circuit court warrant for three counts of failure to appear.

Parole and Probation

Harry Max Bullock III, 40, 2830 West 7th St., was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.

Correction

In The Chronicle’s Oct. 15 story, “District faces challenges in full-day kindergarten effort,” the cost of modular classrooms was incorrectly listed. According to District 21 Superintendent Candy Armstrong, the correct figure is $230,000.
