Accidents

The Dalles City

October 18, 6:39 a.m. – Two vehicle, injury accident, West 2nd and Webber Streets. Rene Mott, 53, Dufur and Justine Logan, 20, 1124 Lewis St. were the involved drivers. Logan was cited for dangerous left turn. A passenger in her vehicle was also transported to the hospital for minor injuries sustained in the crash. A report was taken.

October 18, 2:31 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, West 6th and Cherry Heights streets. Officer assisted with the exchange of information, no report or citations issued.

Wasco County

October 18, 11:45 p.m. – Single vehicle, injury accident, Highway 197 near milepost 42. Stephen James Pratt, 19, Madras, was the involved driver. Pratt was taken to the hospital for evaluation and was later arrested and accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, second-degree theft, no operator’s license, driving uninsured, minor in possession of alcohol. He was also lodged on a Jefferson County warrant.

October 19, 3:49 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury accident, East 19th and Lambert Streets. Driving information was not available. Driver advised they swerved to avoid hitting a deer and crashed. A report was taken and the vehicle was towed.

Oregon State Police

October 18, 11:15 p.m. – Single vehicle, injury crash, Highway 97 near milepost 24. Dallas Levi Wells, 19, Ridgefield, Wash., was the involved driver. Wells was traveling southbound when he fell asleep at the wheel going off the shoulder of the road. He was transported to the hospital for injuries sustained during the crash. A report was taken.

October 19, 9:18 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, Highway 97 northbound, milepost 3. Phillip McCullough, 67, Moro and Doug Tallman, 53, Bend were the involved drivers. Vehicles were following a pilot car when the pilot car stopped causing the drivers to rear end one another.

Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue

Personnel responded to nine calls for emergency medical services Friday, five on Saturday, nine on Sunday and 11 on Monday.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

An informational report was taken Friday morning from the high school after administrative staff learned that a juvenile female was living with an adult male other than family.

A hit and run report was taken Friday morning from the 1000 block of West 9th Street.

A found property report as taken Friday afternoon from the 800 block of Home Court after a property owner found an abandoned bike. The bike was impounded.

Korey Wendell Freemantle, 41, 411 Madison St., was arrested Friday evening in the 3200 block of West 7th Street and is accused of strangulation, second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, and first-degree burglary.

Tuivale Lealofi Tago, 39, 1027 Murray Dr., was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop on West 6th and Snipes streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants. A stolen vehicle report was taken Saturday morning from the 300 block of Snipes Street. The vehicle was located later in the afternoon in Moses Lake, Washington.

A stolen vehicle report was taken Saturday morning from the 700 block of East 13th Street.

A runaway report was taken Saturday evening from the 2100 block of West 9th Street. The juvenile female returned later in the evening and was removed from the system.

An assault report was taken Saturday evening from the 200 block of East 2nd Street after a victim reported being punched in the face by another male suspect earlier in the evening. The incident is under investigation.

Michael J. Martin, 21, no listed address, was arrested early Sunday morning in the 400 block of Court Street on a state warrant for unlawful delivery of marijuana.

A fourth-degree assault report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 700 block of Court Street after a victim reported she was jumped by another female suspect. The incident is under investigation.

A theft report was taken Sunday evening from the 2800 block of West 10th Street after a victim reported her ex-boyfriend stole her debit card and was using it around town; the incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 2600 block of East 2nd Street early Monday morning after an employee advised they found a male subject down on the ground in the area. It was determined the subject committed suicide.

Police responded to the 1800 block of Roberts Street Monday morning on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the male subject who advised his wife hit him in the face. He declined to pursue charges for harassment, the incident was logged.

A burglary report was taken Monday evening from the 1000 block of East 14th Street after a victim reported someone entered their garage and stole some items.

Jamie Ann Pyatt, 31, 3012 West 10th St. No. 1, was arrested Monday evening during a traffic stop in the 800 block of Chenowith Loop Road on a Multnomah County warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Wasco County

A criminal mischief report was taken Friday afternoon from the 2200 block of West 7th Street after a victim reported their storage unit door was kicked in.

Cornelius Clay, 30, Lakewood, Wash., was arrested Friday afternoon in the 2600 block of East 2nd Street and is accused of menacing, harassment, and an out of state warrant.

Deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop Saturday afternoon with a motorcycle near the roundabout. Driver of the motorcycle sped away and attempted to elude the officer. Suspect stopped in the 2600 block of East 2nd Street and was cited and released.

A search and rescue report was taken Saturday evening from the Upper Twin Lakes area after a caller reported a friend was having some heart issues. Subjects were located and the subject had died prior to arrival.

Deputies responded to the 3600 block of West 13th Street early Sunday morning on a report of a fight. Contact was made with three male subjects who were arguing with one another. Two of the subjects were trespassed from the apartment complex and asked to leave.

A burglary report was taken Monday afternoon from Maupin after an employee advised someone broke into the library and took some items.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Monday afternoon from Mosier after a victim reported he came back to his vehicle from hiking and found a broken window and some items missing from within.

Deputy responded to the regional jail Monday evening after an incarcerated male suspect was found with drugs, he was cited for unlawful possession of heroin.

Oregon State Police

A female suspect was cited and released for a wildlife offense Saturday afternoon for an incident that occurred in May.

Kevin Isaac Deras Cruz, 18, Othello, Wash., was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 111 and is accused of failure to present and carry an operator’s license and being a fugitive of INS.

A female driver was cited and released for speeding and driving uninsured during a traffic stop in Biggs Junction Monday morning. A passenger was cited and released for unlawful possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Exile Cornelius Phillips, 56, Vancouver, Wash., was arrested Monday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 near milepost 69 on a Multnomah County warrant for two counts of failure to appear.

Sherman County

Jericho James Richter, 31, Klickitat, was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop on Highway 97 near milepost 8 and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.
