Accidents

The Dalles City

October 24, 5:15 p.m. – Bicyclist versus vehicle, non-injury accident, West 6th and Walnut streets. Oliver Sexton, 65, no listed address and Mary Witter, 73, 5548 Cherry Heights Road were the involved subjects. An informational report was taken and the incident is under review by the city attorney.

Wasco County

October 25, 4:08 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury accident, Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 83. Driver information was not available. Semi driver was in the fast lane when it struck a dead deer. The driver moved over to the slow lane where it observed another dead deer in the fast lane ahead of the previous one. The driver pulled off in The Dalles and was leaking fuel. The deer were removed and the leakage was dealt with.

Fire

October 24, 10:47 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 3300 block of Columbia View Drive on a report of a water flow panel alarm. No fire was visible on arrival. Contact was made with maintenance workers who advised they were working on the system and accidentally triggered it. No problem was found.

October 24, 9:38 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 4200 block of Skyline Road on a report of a fire alarm going off in a basement. Units were cancelled prior to arrival.

Personnel also responded to six calls for emergency medical services.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and third-degree theft reports were taken Thursday morning from the 600 block of East 17th Place after a victim reported a vehicle was broken into and some items were missing.

Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and third-degree theft reports were taken Thursday morning from the 1500 block of Jefferson Street after a victim reported a vehicle was broken into and some items were missing.

A theft report was taken Thursday morning from the 1100 block of Eric Court after a victim reported their bicycle was stolen.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and theft reports were taken Thursday morning from the 2000 block of East Scenic Drive after a victim reported his vehicle was broken into overnight and had some items missing.

Ashley Nicole Brasuell, 24, Hood River, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 2000 block of West 2nd Street on a Hood River county warrant for two counts of probation violation and two counts of first-degree failure to appear.

Sherman County

Anthony Colfax Peters, 55, Toppenish, Wash., was arrested early Friday morning in Biggs Junction and is accused of fourth-degree assault and initiating a false report.
