Accidents

The Dalles City

October 25, 2:46 p.m. Two vehicle, non-injury crash, Highway 197 and Highway 30 intersection. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

October 28, 6:23 p.m. – Two vehicle, injury accident, West 2nd and Brewery Grade. Karen Gilbert, 53, 636 Summit Ridge Dr. and Naomi Tuttle, 31, Murdock were the involved drivers. Gilbert was transported to a hospital for a leg injury sustained in the crash; Tuttle was cited for dangerous left turn. A report was taken.

Fire

October 25, 4:15 a.m. – Personnel responded to West 7th and Myrtle streets on a report of a fuel spill. A semi had struck a deer on the freeway puncturing a fuel tank. The driver pulled off the freeway at the above location and lost several gallons. The area was contained and cleaned.

October 25, 7:17 a.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 near milepost 84 on a report of a fire. An attended warming fire was located, no problem was found.

October 28, 6:34 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 2100 block of West 13th Street on a report of a burn complaint. Callers in the area stated kids were burning leaves and sticks in a barbeque and the flames were getting out of control. Upon arrival the barbeque was found but no fire was observed. The unit was warm to the touch and there were leaves and sticks in the unit. Contact was made with the homeowner who denied that kids were burning anything. They were counseled on burning safely.

Personnel also responded to five calls for emergency medical services on Friday, five on Saturday, three on Sunday and nine on Monday.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Police responded to the 1000 block of West 9th Street Friday morning on a report of a prowler. Caller reported seeing a subject attempting to get into a trailer. Officer attempted to stop the possible suspect but he fled from the officer on his bicycle. He then crashed his bike and fled on foot and was not found. A report was taken.

A first-degree burglary report was taken Friday morning from the 900 block of West 11th Street after a victim reported someone broke into his home while he was sleeping and stole some items from the home.

A second-degree theft report was taken Friday morning from the 100 block of West 1st Street after a victim reported a banner was stolen from the new dock.

A second-degree theft report was taken Friday morning from the 3400 block of Crates Way after a victim reported a propane tank was stolen.

A second-degree criminal mischief report was taken Friday afternoon from the 2200 block of East 12th Street after a victim reported his vehicle was damaged.

John Leslie Middleton, 65, 1604 East 13th St., was arrested Friday afternoon in the 1000 block of West 6th Street and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Police responded to the hospital Friday evening on a report of a suicidal subject that was about to be discharged. Officer made contact and the subject agreed to stay at the hospital for an evaluation.

Richard Gene Henderson, 56, 2826 West 8th St., was arrested Saturday morning in the 200 block of West 2nd Street on municipal court warrant for failure to appear.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and theft reports were taken Saturday afternoon from the 800 block of East 9th Street after a victim reported their vehicle was broken into overnight and had some items missing.

A runaway report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 1400 block of East 13th Street.

A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday evening from the 800 block of Floral Court after a victim reported their vehicle was damaged.

Terry Robert William Morrison, 46, 2007 View Ct., was arrested Saturday evening in the 400 block of West 6th Street on a circuit court warrant for violation of post-prison supervision sanctions.

Justin Casey McClour, 31, no listed address, was arrested Saturday evening in the 1000 block of Chenowith Road on a Clatsop County warrant for failure to appear.

Police responded to the 700 block of Union Street Saturday evening on a report of loud noise. Caller reported several underage subjects in an apartment drinking and being loud. Contact was made with two subjects who were both cited for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption.

A theft report was taken early Sunday morning from the 200 block of East 2nd Street after a victim reported her purse was stolen.

Police responded to the 800 block of East 9th Street early Sunday morning after a caller reported observing a male suspect stop near his vehicle and look into it. Caller came outside to confront the subject and suspect fled on his bicycle. Michael James Miles Jr., 29, 2124 East 15th St., was arrested in the 1100 block of East 8th Street on a circuit court warrant for two counts of probation violation. He is also accused of third-degree escape and interference with a police officer.

A burglary report was taken Sunday morning from the 2600 block of West 2nd Street after a business owner came to his shop and saw two male suspects in his scrap yard. Suspects fled and were not found.

A hit and run report was taken Sunday afternoon from East 4th and Washington streets after a victim reported a vehicle bumped into her as she was crossing the crosswalk. The incident is under investigation.

A burglary report was taken Sunday evening from the 1100 block of East 9th Street after a victim reported someone entered their shed and stole a bicycle.

A second-degree burglary report was taken Monday morning from the 700 block of Snipes Street after a victim reported someone broke into the business.

Police responded to the 100 block of West 11th Street Monday morning on a report of a juvenile problem. Caller reported seeing a large group of juveniles near the school possibly doing drugs. Contact was made with the group. One subject was searched and was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was cited and released to his mother.

Police responded to the 1400 block of East 13th Place Monday morning on a report of a juvenile issue. Officer was taking a runaway subject home that pulled away from him and ran into her house. She was found and cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

A second-degree burglary report was taken Monday afternoon from the 3100 block of West 10th Street after a victim reported someone broke into his shed overnight.

A theft report was taken Monday afternoon from the high school after a victim reported something was stolen from him.

Richard Garrett Cobos, 37, 1106 Emerson St. No. 13, was arrested Monday afternoon in his home and is accused of fourth-degree assault.

Andres Flores, 28, 403 West 3rd St., was arrested Monday evening in the 700 block of East 14th Street and is accused of second-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and third-degree assault.

Police initiated a traffic stop early Tuesday morning at East 13th and Jefferson streets and the driver was a male juvenile. He was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and lodged at the juvenile detention facility.

Wasco County

A criminal mischief report was taken Friday morning in Maupin after a victim reported someone threw a rock through their vehicle windshield.

Brian Phillip Robotnik, 40, 754 Pleasant Ct., was arrested early Saturday morning at West 8th and Walnut streets following a pursuit and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and attempting to elude a police officer in a vehicle.

A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 4100 block of Chenowith Road after a victim reported this vehicle was keyed.

Rocky Eric Spino, 25, 3817 West 10th St. No. 1 was arrested Sunday evening in Celilo Village on four circuit court warrants, two for first-degree failure to appear and two for second-degree failure to appear.

Eduardo Aranda Ortiz, 22, 726 East 14th St., was arrested Monday morning in the 400 block of Mt. Hood Street and is accused of first-degree criminal mischief and 15 counts of identity theft.

An informational report was taken Monday afternoon in Maupin after a caller reported a male suspect attempted to grab her daughter as she was coming home from school.

Christopher Ray Ferguson, 37, Maupin, was arrested Monday evening at his home and is accused of first-degree theft, first-degree burglary, third-degree theft, and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. Ferguson also matched the description of the suspect from the previous report.

A search and rescue report was taken Monday evening from Forest Service Road 4880 after a caller reported a tree fell down blocking the road and they were unable to get through. Subjects were located and the tree was removed.

Oregon State Police

A female juvenile was cited for minor in possession of alcohol during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon on Interstate 84.

Doris Ellen Lawrence, 19, Warm Springs, was arrested Sunday afternoon in Wapinitia on a Jefferson County warrant for fourth-degree assault.

Jason Lee Dietel, 43, Eugene, was arrested early Tuesday morning during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 72 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Sherman County

Carlos Garcia Velasco, 51, Reedley, Calif., was arrested Saturday afternoon during a traffic stop in Grass Valley and is accused of failure to present and carry an operator’s license, first-degree criminal possession of forgery instruments, and being a fugitive of INS.

John Eldon Campbell, 48, Pendleton, was arrested early Sunday morning during a traffic stop on Highway 97 and Barnett Lane and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Regional Jail

Alan Lee Thomas Kenworthy, 55, Portland, was booked and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for carrying a concealed firearm.

Oleg Olegovich Kirillov, 28, Portland, turned himself in and was jailed Monday on a Sherman County warrant for probation violation, a Multnomah County warrant for second-degree criminal trespass, and an out of state warrant.

David Jeffery Liming, 22, Bend, was booked and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for two counts of fourth-degree assault.
