Accidents

The Dalles City

Sept. 14, 9:33 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, West 6th and Webber streets. Officer assisted with the exchange of

information, no citations or report issued.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

Sept. 13, 4:56 p.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 Westbound at exit 85 on a report of a brush fire. Shrubs had caught fire near the edge of the freeway causing thick smoke. The freeway was shut down until the fire was put out. The cause of the fire is unknown.

Sept. 15, 6:21 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 1200 block of West 6th Street on a report of a fire alarm. Upon arrival nothing was showing. Contact was made with a manager who advised that the power went out briefly due to the weather causing the alarm to go off. Once power was restored the alarm was reset. No problem was found.

Sept. 15, 6:26 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 1800 block of East 14th Street on a report of a fire alarm. Contact was made with a responsible party who advised the weather triggered the alarm and there was no problem found, the alarm was reset.

Personnel also responded to five calls for emergency medical services on Friday, seven on Saturday, six on Sunday and three on Monday.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Police responded to the 1700 block of East 10th Street Friday morning on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with a woman who said her boyfriend pushed her down a flight of stairs. A fourth-degree assault report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Friday morning from the 2800 block of West 2nd Street after a victim reported several vehicles were entered overnight.

A runaway report was taken Friday morning from the 700 block of Union Street.

Police responded to the 2600 block of West 6th Street Friday afternoon after an employee advised they had a female juvenile in custody for shoplifting. The juvenile was cited for second-degree theft and released to her mother.

Police responded to the 1000 block of Webber Street Friday afternoon on a report of a trespassing subject. Employees advised a male subject who had been previously trespassed was back on the property. Suspect fled prior to officer arrival, the incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 1100 block of East 2nd Street Friday evening after a father reported finding marijuana in his juvenile son’s room. The son was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Rhonda Jean Collins, 30, 1106 Emerson Dr. No. 13, was arrested Friday evening in the 2600 block of West 6th Street and is accused of second-degree theft.

Matthew Joseph Cobos, 36, no listed address, was arrested Friday evening in the 1000 block of Irvine Street on a circuit court warrant for parole violation.

Modesto Tellez Torres, 26, 4109 Chenowith Rd. No. A26, was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop in the 900 block of Hostetler Street and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Shawn Robin Atkins, 51, 313 Court St. No. 220, was arrested Saturday evening in his home on a circuit court warrant for probation violation.

Victor Stephen Campos, 33, Hood River, was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop on Highway 197 and Highway 30 and is accused of probation violation.

A police officers hold report was taken Sunday evening from the 1100 block of East 8th Street after a subject was driving erratically in an attempt to harm herself.

Police responded to the 900 block of East 7th Street Sunday evening after a victim reported seeing a juvenile suspect attempting to steal a bicycle from his property. Suspect dropped the bike when confronted and fled on foot. The incident is under investigation.

A second-degree criminal mischief report was taken Monday morning from the 400 block of West 9th Street after a victim reported two vehicles had their tires slashed overnight.

A found property report was taken Monday morning from the 2200 block of West 2nd Street after a caller found a bicycle on their property. The bike was impounded.

Police responded to the high school Monday afternoon on a report of a detained student who is accused of theft. Suspect was cited for second-degree theft and minor in possession of tobacco.

A burglary report was taken Monday afternoon from the 1500 block of East 11th Street.

James Foy Routh II, 41, 1521 East 13th St., was arrested Monday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of two counts of probation violation.

Wesley Thom Edwards, 42, Lyle, was arrested Monday evening in the 1200 block of West 6th Street and is accused of reckless driving.

Wasco County

Terry Robert William Morrison, 46, no listed address, was arrested Friday morning in the community corrections office on a circuit court warrant for violation of post-prison supervision sanctions.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and theft reports were taken Friday evening from the 1100 block of Murray Drive after a victim reported someone entered their vehicle overnight and stole some items.

Herminio Belman Gonzales, 23, 3837 Knob Hill Rd., was arrested Friday evening at his home and is accused of harassment and being a fugitive of ICE.

A trespass report was taken early Saturday morning from Wamic after a victim reported a male suspect was on their property after previously being trespassed.

An assault report was taken Saturday evening at the regional jail after two inmates were involved in a physical dispute. The incident is under investigation.

A male subject was cited and released for criminal trespass and second-degree disorderly conduct Saturday evening along the Deschutes River.

Jeremy Michael Workman, 35, Moses Lake, Wash., was arrested early Sunday morning during a traffic stop in the 700 block of East 2nd Street and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A hit and run report was taken Sunday afternoon in Maupin.

Johnny Joe Medina, 28, Cornelius, was arrested Sunday evening during a traffic stop in The Dalles and is accused of failure to present and carry an operator’s license.

Oregon State Police

Crystal Marie Hangland, 43, Kennewick, Wash., was arrested Friday morning during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 114 and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines, and unlawful delivery of methamphetamines. He was also arrested on a Washington State warrant for being a fugitive from the state of Washington. Paul David Gross, 30, Richland, Wash., was also arrested and accused of felon in possession of a restricted weapon. He was also arrested on a Washington State warrant for being a fugitive from the state of Washington.

Orlando Bartholomew Tewee, 24, Madras, was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 109 on a Jefferson County warrant for third-degree theft.

A male driver was cited and released for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, driving while suspended, and driving with expired tags during a traffic stop Friday on Interstate 84 near The Dalles Dam.

Sherman County

Jarrod Andrew Wilson, 35, 108 W. 7th St., was arrested Friday afternoon on a circuit court warrant for probation violation and first-degree failure to appear.

Blain Roger Poirier, 43, Portland, was arrested Saturday morning in Wasco on a Sherman County warrant for two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Aaron Leigh Skipworth, 36, Condon, was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop on Highway 206 eastbound, milepost 6 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Tyler Bryan Sands, 20, Drain, was arrested Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 near milepost 110 on a Douglas County warrant for probation violation.

Regional Jail

Jody Dean Henderson, 49, Mosier, was jailed Friday on a circuit court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Beth Louise Jackson, 44, Vancouver, Wash., was booked and released Friday on a Sherman County court commitment for unlawful delivery of methamphetamines and unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Sonja Neja Jean Rhodes, 19, Bend, was booked and released Friday on a Sherman County court commitment for endangering the welfare of a minor.

Ian Jon Jacobson Ashby, 22, Bend, was jailed Friday on a Sherman County court commitment for endangering the welfare of a minor.

Corey Allen Reeves, 19, 1013 Pomona St. Unit D, was jailed Friday on a Sherman County court commitment for reckless burning and a fireworks offense.

Tammy Renia Chapman, 36, Fresno, Calif., was jailed Friday after turning herself in on a Sherman County warrant for first-degree failure to appear.

Aaron Dale Schafer, 35, Gresham, was booked and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for probation violation.

Aaron Mark Helseth, 38, 1302 West 10th St., was booked and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for felon in possession of a weapon.

Arnold Lee Wright, 61, Goldendale, was jailed Monday on a Sherman County court commitment for hit and run and driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Ashley Rose Lewis, 20, Portland, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for two counts of probation violation.

Douglas Lee Bartling, 22, 1119 East 9th St., was jailed Monday on a circuit court warrant for a wildlife offense.

Parole and Probation

Kevin Cameron Walker, 41, 2120 W. 9th Pl., was arrested Monday morning in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.

Corrections: In Friday Sept. 13 for the record it was reported that Tina Marie Linville resided at 1414 Liberty Street and this is not accurate. The Chronicle apologizes for this error.

According to Teri Thalhofer, director of the North Central Public Health Department, a police report published Sept. 3 in For the Record that a rabid raccoon was found underneath the county’s handicap ramp is incorrect. “There is no evidence that the raccoon is rabid,” she said. “It has not been tested.”
