The Dalles City

March 29, 4:21 p.m. – Single vehicle versus parked car, non-injury crash, West 10th and Union streets. A report was taken and the crash is under investigation.

March 30, 12:41 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, The Dalles. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

March 31, 9:36 a.m. – Two-vehicle crash at Ninth and Union streets. One vehicle was still in the street and one was parked on the side of the street. At least one vehicle had to be towed. No further information provided.


Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

March 31, 7:44 p.m. – Crews responded to the 400 block of East 12th Street on a smoke report. They found a house filled with smoke and the stove unplugged by the occupants. There were burned areas on the floor and counters by the stove. The occupants said the stove was off when they left that morning, but their dog had a bad habit of jumping on the counters and may have bumped a stove knob. Fire crews used a machine to draw smoke from the house and urged the occupants to air it out as well.

Personnel responded to five calls for emergency medical services on Friday, five on Saturday, nine on Sunday and eight on Monday.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

A theft report was taken Friday morning from the 1500 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported leaving her purse in a bathroom and when she returned it was missing.

A second-degree burglary report was taken Friday morning after a caller reported she was house sitting and returned to find items missing from the garage.

A violation of a restraining order report was taken early Saturday morning from the 1700 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported her ex-husband attempted to call her at work which violates the restraining order; the incident is under investigation.

A 45-year-old The Dalles male was arrested Saturday morning in the 1300 block of West 6th Street and is accused of probation violation and second-degree theft.

A hit and run report was taken Saturday afternoon in The Dalles.

An informational report was taken Saturday evening from East 5th and Union streets after a caller found a toddler roaming the area alone. The child was placed in emergency placement until the family could be located.

A death investigation report was taken Sunday afternoon from The Dalles.

A woman found a pried-open lockbox at Dry Hollow and Montana streets Monday morning. A name was on the lockbox and officers took the lockbox with hopes of finding the owner.

A man called Monday morning to report his daughter was scammed by a caller claiming to be from a business that could help her get on the Oregon health Plan. She gave them her Social Security number.

A woman called Monday morning to report harassment at her residence. She wanted to give police possible information on drug activity and issues with tenants.

Dawn Renee Johnson, 51, 2700 W. 7th St., was arrested Monday afternoon at her home and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

A 45-year-old Lyle man turned himself in at The Dalles Municipal Court Monday morning on a circuit court warrant for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A business owner reported three girls who stole from him last Friday were in his store Monday afternoon with their parents and he wanted to press charges. A civil compromise was reached and all property was returned.

A man reported Monday afternoon a van had its tires slashed while parked in the 100 block of East Fourth Street.

A woman called to report Monday afternoon she lost her wallet while at the dialysis treatment center Friday. She said she would come back the next day to finish making her report. Police called the treatment center, which said she was not listed as a patient.

A 50-year-old Dallesport man was arrested Monday evening and is accused of three counts of violating a restraining order. A woman called police to report he’d violated the order. When police came to her location, the man drove by again. The man was located at a store parking lot and arrested.

A woman reported Monday evening someone entered her son’s bedroom and several items were missing. A report was taken. The location of the incident was not provided in the police log.

Wasco County

A first-degree theft report was taken Friday morning after a victim reported having some prescription medication stolen from his home.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Friday afternoon from the 3800 block of West 10th Street after a victim reported having his vehicle was gone through overnight and some medication was taken.

A first-degree burglary report was taken Saturday morning from the 4100 block of Chenowith Road after a victim reported someone entered his home and took medication.

Deputy responded to the 4100 block of Chenowith Road Sunday afternoon after a victim reported a dog bit him. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

A criminal mischief report was taken Sunday evening.

A Hood River dispatcher received a third party report of juveniles walking on the Mark O. Hatfield Trail Monday morning carrying firearms. A man was contacted who said he had a pellet gun because of snakes. He was counseled on his actions.

A woman called 911 Monday afternoon to report her neighbor’s cattle keep getting on her property and eating her grass hay crop and damaging her fence. The neighbor said he would fix his fence.

A man reported Monday afternoon losing his wallet over the weekend at Mayer State Park.

Oregon State Police

A male driver was cited and released for driving while suspended during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 102; the vehicle was impounded.

A male driver was cited and released for driving while suspended during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon on West 2nd and Webber streets; the vehicle was impounded.

Gerardo Gutierrez Aviles, 33, White Salmon, was arrested early Sunday morning during a traffic stop at West 10th and Kingsley streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and being a fugitive of ICE.

A male driver was cited and released for driving uninsured during a traffic stop Sunday evening on West 8th and Cherry Heights streets; the vehicle was impounded.

A 29-year-old Milton Freewater man was arrested Monday night on Interstate 84 at milepost 89 eastbound and is accused of criminal driving while suspended/revoked.

A vehicle was stopped Monday evening for failing to yield from a private drive. The driver didn’t have insurance and the vehicle was towed.

Sherman County

Adrienna Deanna Solomon, 40, Chilquin, was arrested Saturday morning during a traffic stop on Highway 97 near milepost 2 on a Klamath County warrant for first-degree failure to appear on a second-degree criminal mischief charge.
