The Dalles City

April 4, 11:38 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 500 block of Mt. Hood Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

Oregon State Police

April 6, 11:34 p.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 134. A 23 year old male driver from Pendleton had struck the center divider while heading eastbound, stating he had fallen asleep. The vehicle sustained major damage to its left side. The driver was cited for careless driving. The driver was cited previously in the evening for speeding. A report was taken.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

April 5, 1:50 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 5900 block of Cherry Heights Road after a property owner requested assistance with an authorized controlled burn pile that was spreading toward a pile of illegal burning materials. The property owner stated he was having trouble getting water to the fire. Upon arrival contact was made with the property owner who was able to get water to the fire and stop the fire from spreading. No problem was found.

Personnel also responded to nine calls for emergency medical services on Friday, six on Saturday, four on Sunday and two on Monday.

The Dalles City

A theft report was taken Friday morning from the 400 block of Lone Pine Drive after a victim reported his wallet was missing.

An animal problem report was taken Friday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported his dog was attacked by another dog that was running loose in the neighborhood. The incident is under investigation.

A theft report was taken Friday morning from the 400 block of Mt. Hood Street after a victim reported her purse was stolen while shopping in the area. The victim called back later on Sunday stating she found her purse in the glove box of her vehicle.

Jon Delonne Strickland, 26, 2510 West 2nd St. No. 11, was arrested Friday afternoon in the 700 block of Ash Street on a Hood River county warrant for probation violation and a circuit court warrant for probation violation.

Jose Ernesto Garcia, 39, 4109 Chenowith Rd. Unit B-11, was arrested Friday afternoon near The Dalles Bridge and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct and depositing trash within 100 yards of water.

An identity theft report was taken Friday afternoon at the police station after a victim came in to report she attempted to file her taxes and that someone had already used her name and social security number to file. The incident is under investigation.

A theft report was taken Friday afternoon from the 1400 block of West 6th Street after an employee reported a suspect fled the store with a tablet. The incident is under investigation.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Friday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported her vehicle was entered and had a wallet stolen.

Corina Lynn Shockey, 50, 310 East 12th St., was arrested Friday evening in the 300 block of East 12th Street on a municipal court warrant for resisting arrest and also a Klickitat County warrant for being a fugitive from the state of Washington.

Terry Robert William Morrison, 47, 315 West 6th St. No. 15, was arrested early Saturday morning in his home on a circuit court warrant for violation of post-prison supervision sanctions.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Saturday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported someone entered his vehicle overnight and had some items taken.

A found property report was taken Saturday morning from the 3900 block of West 6th Street after an employee reported an abandoned bike left on the property. The bike was placed into impound.

Samasoni A. Taala, 24, 2818 West 7th St. No. 22, was arrested Saturday afternoon in his home and is accused of second-degree child neglect.

A second-degree theft report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 1300 block of West 6th Street after an employee reported a pickup came and took several pallets from behind the store.

A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim came home from vacation and stated his vehicle had been damaged.

Leroy Sutton Jr., 59, Lyle, Wash., was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop in the 2400 block of East 2nd Street and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Police responded to the 1000 block of Honey Do Street Saturday evening on a report of gunshots. The area was checked and it was determined someone was setting off bottle rockets, the subject was not located.

A burglary report was taken early Sunday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a caller reported a female suspect attempted to gain entry into the home. The caller pulled a gun on the suspect and told her to leave and she fled the area.

Police responded to the 2700 block of West 7th Street Sunday morning after a caller drove by what looked to be an abandoned stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located and was stolen out of Klickitat County. A report was taken.

A death investigation report was taken Sunday afternoon from an undisclosed location by the department after a caller reported finding a friend who had committed suicide.

An agency assist report was taken Sunday evening in the 2300 block of East 16th Street after assisting state police with a warrant arrest.

An identity theft report was taken Sunday evening from the 1200 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported losing a credit card in the area.

A theft report was taken Sunday evening from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim had his cell phone stolen.

Austin Ray Natalie Lopuch, 22, Redmond, was arrested Monday morning in the 800 block of East Scenic Drive on a Deschutes County warrant for probation violation.

A criminal mischief report was taken Monday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported a large glass window was broken at her home and a rock was found nearby.

Police responded to the 1200 block of West 6th Street Monday afternoon after an employee reported a male subject was drinking alcohol in the store. Contact was made with the subject who was warned about drinking in public.

A burglary report was taken Monday evening at a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported someone broke into her home and had taken several items.

A child neglect report was taken Monday evening at a location undisclosed by the department after an anonymous caller reported drugs were being used around children. The children were located and placed into protective custody and evidence in the home was seized. The incident is under investigation.

Michael James Dunagan, 44, no listed address, was arrested Monday evening in the 900 block of East 13th Street on a Hood River county warrant for first-degree failure to appear.

Wasco County

Cory James Widner, 22, Mosier, was arrested Friday afternoon at West 10th and Irvine streets on a circuit court warrant for violation of a restraining order.

Deputy responded to a location undisclosed by the department early Saturday morning after a caller reported a female screaming in the area. Contact was made with the female who stated people were coming after her. She kept saying there were people watching her while she was talking to the deputy when there was no one around. She was voluntarily taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

Deputy responded to Mayer State Park Saturday afternoon after a caller reported people were shooting at a rock pit in the area. Contact was made with the subjects who were advised they were not allowed to shoot there; they left the scene with no issues.

Deputy was driving through the area of West 10th and Irvine streets Sunday evening when he heard loud music coming from a home. While entering the house he observed two male subjects smoking marijuana inside the home. Both were contacted and were warned of their conduct. They were advised to destroy their marijuana which they did in front of the deputy.

William Dalton Adams, 18, 3817 West 10th St. No. 43, was arrested in his home early Monday morning and is accused of second-degree theft.

A tampering with a witness report was taken Monday morning from a location undisclosed by the department.

Vernie Lavone Dempsey, 47, no listed address, was arrested Monday morning in circuit court and is accused of second-degree criminal trespass and tampering with a witness.

Oregon State Police

A missing persons report was taken Friday morning at the office after a caller reported her father was walking from Washington to Idaho but received a call from him earlier in the week he was going to go south on Highway 97 in Oregon and had not been heard from since. The report is under investigation.

A male driver was cited and released for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana during a traffic stop Friday morning on Highway 97 near Wasco.

A male driver was cited and released for driving uninsured during a traffic stop Friday evening on West 6th and Snipes streets; the vehicle was impounded.

Harold James Weight, 68, Portland, was arrested Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 73 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants. Jamie Clark Mansayon, 44, 2307 East 16th St., was arrested Sunday evening in his home on a Crook County warrant for probation violation and a Washington County warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Arthur Joseph Smith, 34, 809 East 7th St., was arrested Monday evening at East 3rd and Union streets on a circuit court warrant for second-degree failure to appear and a Klickitat County warrant for probation violation.

Miguel Angel Franco, 40, Hermiston, was arrested Monday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 87 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and being a fugitive of ice.

Sherman County

Marilyn Marie Pirtle, 46, Goldendale, was arrested Saturday afternoon during a traffic stop on Highway 97 southbound, milepost 26 on a Douglas County warrant for contempt of court. Terry Wayne Dowty, 39, Goldendale, was also arrested on a Multnomah County warrant for parole violation. He is also accused of two counts of being in possession of a controlled substance.

Gilliam County

Andrew Christopher Miciak, 18, Condon, was arrested Monday morning in his home and is accused of third-degree rape, two counts of third-degree sodomy, two counts of third-degree sexual abuse, and contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor.

Regional Jail

Arnold Lee Wright, 62, Goldendale, was jailed Friday on a Sherman County Court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Javier Torres, 20, 4109 Chenowith Rd. No. D-36, was jailed Saturday on a circuit court commitment for fourth-degree assault.

Michael Tyler Schell, 25, 3817 West 10th St. No. 36, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for second-degree sexual abuse.

Parole & Probation

Molly Elizabeth Frizzell, 44, 2510 West 2nd St., was arrested Friday morning at her home and is accused of probation violation.

John Michael Black, 59, 4405 Highway 30 No. 406, was arrested Friday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of two counts of probation violation.

Ryan Gail Mulvaney, 24, 931 Verdant St., was arrested Monday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of parole violation.
