Rescue

April 16, 5:06 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 4700 block of Seven Mile Road on a report of a grass fire. A 15 by 20-foot fire pit was located which appeared to have been burning for several days. The pit was unattended. The fire was extinguished.

April 16, 6:58 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 3300 block of Columbia View Drive on a report of a smoke alarm. Upon arrival, nothing was visible from the exterior of the building. The inside was checked and no problem was found. The alarm was reset.

Personnel also responded to seven calls for emergency medical services.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

An agency report was taken Wednesday morning from the 2500 block of West 6th Street after assisting Oregon State Police with an investigation of a vehicle found in the ditch.

A theft report was taken Wednesday morning from the 2600 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported some medication was stolen from the pharmacy.

An informational report was taken Wednesday afternoon after an officer ran a plate which returned to a vehicle registered out of Bend to a sex offender who may be out of his compliance area. Officer attempted to track down the vehicle but was not able to locate it.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Wednesday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported some entered his vehicle and stole his cell phone.

Joseph Dale Shuler, 32, 1102 West 5th Pl. No. 33, was arrested Wednesday evening at Kramer Field and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines, resisting arrest, and interference with a police officer.

An agency assist report was taken Wednesday evening from the 3800 block of West 8th Street after assisting a deputy with a drug arrest.

Wasco County

An informational report was taken Wednesday evening from Dufur after a caller reported he overheard that a male suspect had made threats to a mutual friend that he was going to shoot him. The incident is under investigation.

Jorge Daniel Alcantar Avila, 18, 700 East 14th St., was arrested Wednesday evening in the 3800 block of West 8th Street and is accused of delivering marijuana within 1000 feet of a school, unlawful delivery of marijuana, delivering a controlled substance to a minor, and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Deputy responded to the 700 block of Chenowith Loop Road early Thursday morning after an off duty officer observed two juvenile subjects attempting to break into a taco stand. The suspects were found and admitted to taking some candy by the main window but they were not trying to break in. There was no evidence of forced entry to the stand. They were warned of their conduct.

Oregon State Police

Brian Keith Drake, 58, 1016 Pomona St., was arrested Thursday morning in the 2500 block of West 6th Street and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Regional Jail

Anthony Brack Griffin, 52, no listed address, was transported by Multnomah County and jailed Wednesday where he was arrested on a circuit court warrant for first-degree failure to appear on a possession of a firearm charge.

Leticia Carina Herrera, 20, no listed address, was transported by Multnomah County and jailed Wednesday where she was arrested on three circuit court warrants for failure to appear.

Victor Byron Freddie Snell, 32, 1308 Harris St., was transported by Multnomah County and jailed Wednesday where he was arrested on a circuit court warrant for violation of post-prison super vision sanctions.

Amanda Michell Worley, 19, no listed address, was transported by Clackamas County and jailed Wednesday where she was arrested on a circuit court warrant for three counts of failure to appear.

Kurtis Wayne Dell, 37, Kennewick, Wash., was jailed Wednesday on a Sherman County court commitment for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Matthew Michael Oaks Geary, 30, 510 Union St., was jailed Wednesday after turning himself in on a circuit court warrant for probation violation.
