Church news in brief, April 25

Choral Music

Brigham Young University Singers, the finest choir the university sponsors, will be on a 14-day tour to the Pacific Northwest from April 28 until May 11. The tour will include 10 cities throughout Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. The BYU Singers will be performing at the Hood River Middle School on Thursday, May 8th at 7 p.m. Tickets available at Klindt’s and Waucoma Bookstores.

Gateway Presbyterian

Traditional and contemporary services are held at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. each Sunday. Senior Pastor Dr. Tom Pipkin will speak on “Gone Fishin’” On Wednesday, youth group starts at 6 p.m., as does Women’s Study and Men’s Study. Parenting TODAY begins at 5:30 p.m. Children’s ministries are provided.

On Thursday, men’s Bible study is at 6:30 a.m., and ACTS After School will meet.

First Christian Church

With the “Last Days of Jesus” pageant finished for this year, First Christian is returning to its focus on "The Year of the Young Family" and its regular schedule of Sunday School classes, as noted on its website www.fcctd.org.

Wednesday night Youth Group meets at 7 p.m. for 6th grade through high school. For those new in their faith or new in membership at First Christian, Class 101 is Sunday, May 4 at 3 p.m. in the downstairs Fellowship Hall. Weekend Services include an informal potluck and message on Friday nights at 7 p.m., a Saturday Night Live Service at 6 p.m., and Sunday worship begins at 10:30 a.m.
