Bee swarm kills Chihuahua

PASCO, Wash. (AP) — A swarm of bees attacked two dogs in a Pasco yard, killing one of them, a 7-and-a-half pound Chihuahua named Ziggy.

Owner Shawna Breedlove said the dog went into shock April 26 and could not survive the toxins from more than 150 stingers.

Another dog was in her yard Saturday when hundreds of bees swarmed, but it survived.

Beekkeepers said the bees might have been agitated by the wind that day.
