July 31, 2:16 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, location undisclosed by the department. One driver was cited for no operator’s license. A report was taken.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

July 31, 12:59 p.m. – Personnel responded to Festival Park on a report of a vehicle fire. While en-route units were advised the fire had already been put out. Contact was made with police and the owner who advised public works drove by and put out the fire with their extinguisher. The battery was disconnected and units returned to quarters.

Personnel also responded to eight calls for emergency medical services.

The Dalles City

A second-degree theft report was taken Thursday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported his cell phone was stolen.

A runaway report was taken Thursday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department.

A third-degree theft report was taken Thursday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after an employee reported a suspect left the store without paying for gas.

Henry Russell Benson, 43, 806 Garden Ct., was arrested Thursday afternoon in his home and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct, second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree escape, and resisting arrest.

Matthew Smith Gowdy, 31, 519 East 12th St., was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 2600 block of West 6th Street on a circuit court warrant for second-degree failure to appear. Stephanie Alison Starr, 33, 3203 West 7th St., was also arrested on a circuit court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

An agency assist report was taken Thursday evening at the police station after a female victim reported to Prineville police that she was assaulted in their jurisdiction. Officer took photos and will forward report to Prineville.

Christopher Lloyd Moon, 55, Payette, Idaho, was arrested early Friday morning in the 200 block of West 2nd Street and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct.

Wasco County

A theft report was taken Thursday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported a tool box was taken from his truck.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and theft reports were taken Thursday evening from Taylor Lake after a victim reported returning to his vehicle to find a window broken and some items missing from inside.

Veronica Hernandez, 27, 3817 West 10th St. No. 13, was arrested Thursday evening in her home and is accused of harassment. Jesus Duarte Rodriguez, 25, 3817 West 10th St. No. 15, was also arrested and is accused of violation of a restraining order and being a fugitive of ICE.

Oregon State Police

Trooper responded to a location undisclosed by the department Thursday afternoon on a report of a vehicle fire. Contact was made with the owner who was irate and distraught and said he wanted to go to jail. He was placed into custody and taken to the hospital for an involuntary evaluation. A police officer hold report was taken.
