Event benefits Wash. food programs

BINGEN —Washington Gorge Action Programs Food Banks and Nutrition Programs will host its first Food Bank Fundraiser at the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center Museum on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Festivities will include a fashion show by A Boutique in Stevenson (with 20 percent of all fashion show sales going to the Food Banks), silent auction, music by classical guitarist Andreas Erhlich, the Stevenson High School Pep Band and jazz pianist Tony Kluegel of the Columbia Gorge Hotel, as well as a desert social. Admission is $5 at the door.
