August 27, 6:04 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 900 block of Webber Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

August 27, 12:45 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 700 block of West 14th Street on a report of a vehicle fire. The vehicle owner was pulling out of her house when she noticed smoke under her hood. The vehicle was stopped and the hood was popped open showing a fire near the alternator. The fire was extinguished with a fire extinguisher. The vehicle was towed away.

Personnel also responded to eight calls for emergency medical services.

The Dalles City

A restraining order violation report was taken Wednesday morning from a location undisclosed by the department.

A third-degree theft report was taken Wednesday morning from a location undisclosed by the department.

Police responded to Festival Dock Wednesday afternoon after a caller reported her daughter was in the area and a male suspect whom her daughter has a restraining order against was also in the area. The suspect fled prior to officer arrival and it was determined he did not know the victim was also in that area.

A restraining order violation report was taken Wednesday evening from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported a male suspect is calling her violating the no contact order. The incident is under investigation.

Scott James Neet Jr., 33, 735 Chenowith Loop Rd., was arrested Wednesday evening in the 1000 block of Pomona Street and is accused of probation violation.

A runaway report was taken early Thursday morning from a location undisclosed by the department.

A theft report was taken early Thursday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported a bicycle was stolen from the back of his truck.

Wasco County

A theft report was taken Wednesday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported his vehicle was entered while hiking and had some items missing.

An identity theft report was taken Wednesday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim called to report he had two unapproved purchases on his credit card.

Regional Jail

Kasey Lynn Heinige, 33, 2426 East 12th St. was jailed Wednesday on a circuit court commitment for contempt of court.

Kenan Glenn Newton, 20, La Pine, was transported by Deschutes County and jailed Wednesday after being arrested on a circuit court warrant for first-degree failure to appear.

Christopher Daniel Bidema, 41, Tygh Valley, was jailed Wednesday after turning himself in on a circuit court warrant for failure to appear.

Justin Patrick Lane, 26, 5740 Highway 30 No. 5, was jailed Wednesday on a circuit court commitment for second-degree criminal mischief.

Leslie Allen Bursell, 49, no listed address, was transported by Umatilla County and jailed Wednesday after being arrested on a circuit court warrant for probation violation.

Ira Walsah Wyena, 41, Wapato, Wash., was transported by Yakima County and jailed Wednesday after being arrested on a circuit court warrant for probation violation.

Jimmy James Spino, 22, no listed address, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of three counts of probation violation.
