Swimmer found dead in central Oregon pond

ALFALFA, Ore. (AP) — The Deschutes County sheriff's office says a 66-year-old Bend, Oregon, man has been found dead in a central Oregon pond.

The sheriff's office says deputies responded Thursday afternoon to a report of a swimmer in distress at Reynolds Pond, near the community of Alfalfa, Oregon.

Lawrence Domanski was found dead in the water about 40 minutes later.

He had been with another person at the pond.

The sheriff's office is investigating the death.
