The Dalles City

Feb. 7, 3:54 p.m. – One-vehicle non-injury crash at bottom of Brewery Grade. Driver slid into curb and damaged left wheel. Vehicle towed.

Feb. 7, 5:09 p.m. – Vehicle vs. fire hydrant, non-injury, at East 10th and Court Streets. Driver slid downhill into hydrant. Damaged hood of vehicle.

Feb. 8, 8:52 p.m. – A pickup slid into utility boxes in the 2500 block of Wright Street. It affected phone service.

Feb. 9, 10:58 a.m. – Hit and run in the 300 block of East Fifth Street. Parked vehicle was struck in the front end. Report taken.

Feb. 9, 4:31 p.m. – Vehicle rear ended by another vehicle at West Second Street and Cherry Heights. The vehicle that struck the first vehicle had about $1,500 in damage. Information exchanged.

Wasco County

Feb. 8, 10:53 a.m. – A single-vehicle crash was reported on Exit 87 eastbound off Interstate 84. No further details provided.

Feb. 8, 11:05 a.m. – Single vehicle crash, Interstate 84, milepost 85. No further details provided.

Feb. 8, 7:16 p.m. – A vehicle slid into the bank on exit 84 off Interstate 84 eastbound.

Feb. 9, 10:15 a.m. – A woman reported her vehicle was damaged in a hit and run when it was parked in the 1000 block of Murray Drive. She wasn’t aware of the damage right away because the car was buried under a foot of snow.

Oregon State Police

Feb. 7, 12:50 p.m. – One-vehicle, non-injury crash, Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 104. Driver merging onto I-84 accelerated too quickly and hit center median, blowing out front and rear left tires.

Feb. 7, 4:57 p.m. – One-vehicle, non-injury crash, Intestate 84 near milepost 97. A truck was passing a semi-truck when it lost control on ice trying to move into the right lane. The truck hit the center barrier then slid back across both lanes and stopped on the shoulder. The truck was towed.

Feb. 8, 2:48 p.m. – Two-vehicle crash, Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 104. A driver was stopped on I-84 due to traffic backed up from the off-ramp. A second vehicle rear-ended the first vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle cited poor visibility due to snow.

Crews also responded to three calls for emergency medical service on Friday, five on Saturday and seven on Sunday.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Johnathan James Goddard, 21, 1301 W. 2nd St., No 2, was arrested in the 1200 block of West Sixth Street Friday morning on a warrant for failure to appear.

A person locked themselves in the bathroom in a business in the 1200 block of West Sixth Street Friday morning and wouldn’t leave. A man was found passed out in the bathroom. His brother came to pick him up.

A motel employee in the 2500 block of West Sixth Street called Friday afternoon to report a guest was refusing to leave; complaining of chest pain but refusing medics. The woman finally left.

Deda Cathleen Carter, 39, 1511 H St., was arrested Friday afternoon on Interstate 84, milepost 87 and is accused of criminal driving while suspended.

Joshua Eli Ian Haley, 34, 300 W. 4th St. No 7, was arrested at the police station Friday afternoon on a charge of felony fourth degree assault. He’d come in to make a report but was arrested. He later told jail staff he never got to make the report he came to the police department to file. Police went to the jail to talk to him and told him he could tell his side when he was in court.

A woman in the 1100 block of Lewis Street reported a man was refusing to leave and throwing things in a dispute over their child. The woman physically harassed the man, but he declined to pursue charges.

A woman called police Friday afternoon to report a pre-teen girl attempted to overdose. The girl was staying the night in the emergency room.

A man in the 800 block of West 10th Street told police Friday night another man was asked to leave but was disabled and couldn’t walk and has no ride. The caller said there would be a medical emergency in about 30 minutes and the guy would be a corpse. Police took the man to the Warming Place.

Amie Leane New, 25, 418 E. 7th St., was arrested Friday night at Fourth and Washington Street and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A man kicked out of a restaurant in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street exposed himself to the security camera as he left, and was now back at the restaurant, a caller told police Friday evening. Later, the same man was loitering outside a restaurant in the 1300 block of West Sixth Street and employees were uncomfortable with his presence there. The man was told he was permanently trespassed from the first restaurant and couldn’t be at the second restaurant after hours. The man was given a ride to the warming shelter.

Katie Marie Callahan, 27, 325 E. 11th St., was arrested early Saturday morning at 10th and Kelly and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A woman in the 200 block of West Ninth Street reported Saturday morning her garage was tagged with graffiti.

A woman in the 900 block of East 12th Street reported Saturday morning her boyfriend’s ex was posting slanderous things about her on Facebook. An officer attempted to contact the ex to warn her of possible civil action if she did not remove the posts.

A man reported he was driving home at 2 a.m. Saturday morning and saw a man laying on the side of the road in the 500 block of West Ninth Street. He stopped to assist and the man assaulted him several times. The man said the suspect was about six feet tall and slender.

A man reported Saturday morning a man was laying between buildings in the 1600 block of East 12th Street. An officer gave the man a ride to the hospital.

A man was refusing to leave a restaurant that was closed in the 300 block of West Second Street Friday morning. The man had already been trespassed from the restaurant and a nearby gas station. The man was last seen at the warming shelter.

Bradley Roy Schilling, 50, 1015 Garrison St., was arrested Saturday afternoon at 10th and Garrison with probation violation and interfering with a peace officer.

Erik Lorwance Robertson, 23, 60 Aki Road, Lyle, was arrested in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street Saturday afternoon and is accused of two counts of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

A man in the 900 block of East 11th street reported Saturday evening he found footprints leading from the sidewalk to his bathroom window. He requested extra patrols.

A man who was refusing to leave the hospital emergency room Saturday evening was taken to a local motel.

A man in the 3200 block of Chinook Street called to report hearing multiple shots fired near the area of Wahtonka campus Saturday evening. An officer couldn’t find any noise in the area.

A woman in the 3200 block of Columbia View Drive locked herself out of her house in her robe early Sunday morning and a locksmith was unable to respond. An officer helped her re-enter her home.

Tenants served an eviction notice in the 800 block of Court Street were playing loud, offensive music early Sunday morning. They wouldn’t answer the door when the manager knocked, but had turned the music down by the time police arrived.

Employees at a business in the 1200 block of Kelly reported a vehicle was blocked and interfering with business. The vehicle’s owner, Martin Ray Dodson, 54, 2010 W. 8th, was arrested and is accused of probation violation.

A man in the 900 block of East 11th Street reported graffiti on his fence Sunday morning, done in black Sharpie. He also reported some kids were standing on his heat pump before he ran them off.

A man fell Sunday evening while crossing near a crosswalk in the 800 block of East Third Street and broke his ankle. He was transported to the hospital.

A pre-teen female on suicide watch at the hospital was threatening to hurt herself with a sharp pencil. Hospital staff asked law enforcement to come help them.

A man in the 2200 block of West Ninth Place reported early Monday morning a woman broke through his front door and bit him. There was mutual harassment between both parties and officers trespassed her from the property.

Wasco County

A deputy assisted getting a vehicle off the road at Wamic Market Grade Friday evening.

A man reported being punched by another man at Columbia Crest Mobile Park early Saturday morning. Two other men admitted to hitting the man when he came at them with a bottle and a big stick. The man who called was trespassed from the property.

Jimmy James Spino, 22, 3817 W. 10th, No. 11, was arrested Saturday morning in the 3800 block of West 10th and is accused of failure to appear and probation violation.

Snowmobilers at Billy Bob Snow Park reported their snowmobile broke down and they needed assistance Saturday evening. Two other snowmobilers went to search for them and later returned with both of the stranded snowmobilers.

A man reported Saturday evening another man working with a roofing crew threatened to murder him. Deputies were unable to do anything because the caller did not return to the scene.

A woman called dispatchers to report a man tore a cabinet off the wall and ripped the door off the bedroom and was threatening to kill himself. When a deputy responded he told the deputy he would’ve killed him if he had the correct shotgun shells. Paul Edwin Burke 54, 336 S. County Rd., Tygh Valley, was arrested Sunday evening and is accused of two counts of menacing and attempted second degree assault.

Barbara Jean Major, 40, no listed address, was arrested Monday evening at the regional jail and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines and endangering the welfare of a minor.

A trespass report was taken Monday evening from Celilo Village after a victim reported a female suspect broke a window and entered his home.

Johnathan Paul Ancheta, 33, no listed address, was arrested Monday evening in Celilo Village and is accused of probation violation.

Oregon State Police

A driver pulled up behind a trooper who was on a motorist assist. The trooper determined there was marijuana in the vehicle. The driver first denied having any marijuana, then retrieved his pipe and marijuana from the back seat. He was issued a citation for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

A male driver was cited and released for throwing burning material from a vehicle Monday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, exit 87.
