The Dalles City
January 5, 2:17 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury accident, 2200 block of East 12th Street. Officer arrived on scene to a vehicle blocking traffic with no driver nearby. The driver was located at the hospital. Moses Ruiz Olivan, 27, 2301 E. 12th St., was arrested early Sunday morning and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.
January 5, 9:48 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, 300 block of Federal Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.
January 6, 4:47 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, 500 block of Mt. Hood Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.
January 6, 5:18 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, West 6th and Hostetler streets. Michael Hemovich, 50, 1166 Pine St., and Regina Billings, 43, 1047 Irvine St., were the involved drivers. Billings was cited for dangerous left turn and a crash report was taken.
January 6, 1:23 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 3400 block of Columbia View Drive on a report of an oven fire. Upon arrival light smoke was discovered in the home. Occupant advised they had set the oven to run through its cleaning function, causing the fire. The oven was unplugged and the unit was taken outside so the fire could burn itself out. The windows and doors were open in the home to ventilate the smoke. The oven had items inside which were not removed prior to the cleaning function start, which most likely caused the fire.
Personnel also responded to four calls for emergency medical services on Friday, six on Saturday, 11 on Sunday and seven on Monday.
The Dalles City
A criminal mischief report was taken Friday afternoon from the 600 block of West 2nd Street after an employee reported some graffiti was located on some buildings on the property.
Police responded to the 300 block of East 8th Street Friday afternoon after a victim reported a former tenant stole a refrigerator from the rental unit; the incident was logged.
Steven Joseph Sprague, 42, no listed address, was arrested Friday afternoon in the 400 block of West 2nd Street and is accused of interference with a police officer, resisting arrest, second-degree criminal trespass and depositing trash within 100 yards of water.
A criminal mischief report was taken Friday afternoon from the 700 block of Union Street after an employee advised a female suspect damaged a wall in a meeting room during an interview. The incident is under investigation.
Mayleen Adilene Ortez-Campos, 25, 965 Home St., was arrested Friday afternoon in her home and is accused of first-degree criminal mistreatment, third-degree assault and fourth-degree assault.
A second-degree theft report was taken Friday evening from the 2600 block of West 6th Street after an employee advised a female suspect fled the store with some merchandise.
Police responded to the 2600 block of West 10th Street Friday evening after a father called to report his daughter, who was on the runaway list, was home. The juvenile suspect had a warrant for her arrest and was taken into custody and lodged at the juvenile facility.
Steven Thomas Mauser, 60, 2418 East 16th St., was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 200 block of East 2nd Street on a municipal court warrant for failure to pay fines.
A third-degree theft report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 700 block of Court Street after a victim reported some items were taken from her sometime during the day.
Brian Michael Edley, 30, 3817 West 10th St. No. 7, was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 200 block of East 2nd Street on a circuit court warrant for four counts of second-degree failure to appear.
Rodney Ray Van Riper, 46, no listed address, was arrested Sunday morning in the 1700 block of West 2nd Street and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.
Police responded to the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street Sunday morning after an employee advised a male suspect fled the store with two cases of alcohol; the incident is under investigation.
A hit and run report was taken Sunday morning from the 1300 block of Union Street.
A criminal mischief report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 1800 block of West 10th Street after a victim reported their vehicle was damaged overnight.
A runaway report was taken Sunday evening from the 300 block of West 8th Street. The juvenile was located later in the evening and taken home.
Adrian Sapien Sedano, 23, 804 East 3rd St., was arrested Sunday evening in his home and is accused of violation of a restraining order.
Cory James Widner, 22, Mosier, was arrested early Monday morning during a traffic stop at Chenowith and Browns Creek streets and is accused of driving while suspended.
A criminal mischief report was taken Monday evening from the 600 block of East 11th Street after a victim reported someone through a brick through a window of her home.
Thomas Lee McDonald, 46, 1520 East 21st St., was arrested Monday evening in his home on a Hood River county warrant for probation violation.
Police responded to the 1800 block of East 14th Street Monday evening after a caller reported hearing two males talking outside her residence. She was afraid one of the subjects may be a suspect she has a restraining order against. Officer checked the area but was unable to located any subjects.
Deputy responded to the 3800 block of West 10th Street Saturday afternoon on a report of a disturbance. Caller reported he was involved in an altercation with is neighbor. Contact was made with both subjects and both were cited, a report was taken.
Deputy responded to the 4100 block of Chenowith Road Sunday evening on a report of a neighbor giving another neighbor prescription drugs. Contact was made with suspect who acknowledged that she did give her neighbor some of her prescription medication as she thought it would help with her neighbor’s migraine. A report was taken and is under investigation.
A search and rescue report was taken Sunday evening from a hiking trail along the Deschutes River on a report of an overdue hiker. The hiker was found later in the evening with a minor injury but he was ok.
Oregon State Police
Leonard Leroy Wiese, 63, 809 East 13th St., was arrested Friday morning in his home and is accused of felon in possession of a restricted weapon, three counts of a wildlife offense, altering the identification of a firearm, and discharging a firearm from a highway.
Bridie Lynn Jennings, 40, Kelso, Wash., was arrested Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 91 and is accused of obstruction of government and judicial administration, unlawful possession of methamphetamines, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, two counts of first-degree theft, and two counts of felon in possession of a restricted weapon. Jeffrey Michael Ranta, 38, Vancouver, Wash., was also arrested on two Washington State warrants. He is also accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines, two counts of unlawful delivery of methamphetamines, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful delivery of marijuana, two counts of first-degree theft, two counts of felon in possession of a restricted weapon, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of first-degree criminal possession of forgery instruments, and two counts of providing false information to a police officer.
A female driver was cited and released for driving while suspended and driving uninsured during a traffic stop Monday afternoon on Interstate 84 near Rowena.
James Jeffery Nelson, 56, Condon, was jailed Friday on a Sherman County court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.
Travis Scott Haberman, 28, 2005 East 15th St., was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for unlawful delivery of marijuana.
Victoria Donna Popper, 39, 747 Richland Ct., was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for possession of a controlled substance.
William Jay Culpus, 49, Warm Springs, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving while suspended.

Kasey Lauren Crossan, 20, Pendleton, was arrested Monday morning in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.
