Wasco County Assessor Tim Linn dies

Tim Linn, 56, Wasco County assessor, died Thursday, Jan. 16, from complications of pneumonia, according to a report from Wasco County Commissioner Rod Runyon.

Out of respect for staff, the Assessment and Taxation office was closed today by order of the Board of County Commissioners.

Flags on county buildings including the courthouse, public health, veterans services and public works are flying at half-staff.

“He was a very private man and well-loved by his staff,” Runyon said.

Linn was approaching his 28th anniversary with Wasco County. He was appointed the Wasco County assessor/tax collector in 2003 and elected in 2004.

Linn’s family has been notified of his death and arrangements are pending, according to Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral home.

Linn was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.
