Fort Dalles Museum to host family fun

Enjoy Family Fun Day at Fort Dalles Museum, Saturday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is free all day.

Tour the museum grounds and see live demonstrations of old-time pioneer skills, including: blacksmithing, rope making and wool spinning.

Take a free horse-drawn wagon ride to the historic Rorick House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Discovery Center will have live raptors on hand and see the 4-H animals in the Anderson Barn.

The Eagle Quest Drummers will be on hand, as well as the toe-tapping music of For The Good Times country band from 1 to 3 p.m.

There will be plenty of food, with Indian fry bread, hamburgers; hot dogs, chips, shaved ice, cotton candy, and beverages. Children’s games will keep the kids busy.
