The Arlington Community Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Annual Arlington Show ‘n’ Shine Car Show Saturday, July 26.
The day will feature cars of all ages from antique and collectible to electric cars, food and fun for kids and adults.
Vehicles are shown on the shaded lawn along the Columbia River in the Earl Snell Park. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and trophies will be awarded at 3:15 p.m. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. by the Nazarene Church. The Catholic Church barbeque lunch will begin at 11 a.m. Strawberry shortcake, provided by the Methodist Church Ladies, will be served.
The day will feature hula hoop contests and the Annual Rubber Duck Regatta in the lagoon.
Rubber Ducks can be purchased at the Arlington Hardware for $1 a duck. In addition, the Community Chamber is providing floaties and water play toys for kids. A licensed lifequard will be on duty.
Arlington, now home to an electric car charging station, has developed a category for those unique vehicles. Organizers hope to see several displayed.
Trophies will be awarded in more than 20 categories, including the Jim Rudisill Memorial People’s Choice award, best stock and modified vehicles from different eras, best electric vehicle, best motorcycle and others.
