UTC Aerospace aids Heart of Hospice

UTC Aerospace Systems selected the Heart of Hospice Foundation as its quarterly charity from proceeds of the Hood to River Relay Race.

Six employees from Cloud Cap Technology competed in this springtime event. During the race, competitors quickly descend from the high slopes of the mountain to the low-lying elevations of the Columbia River in one day. The race involves skiing, mountain biking, road biking, running, then a paddle to the finish line.

Money raised by employees of UTC Aerospace Systems and other donations go toward creating a positive and loving experience for patients of Heart of Hospice. Donations go directly to patients and families in the form of airfare, payment of their bills and intangibles like celebrations of life to include birthdays and anniversaries, run errands, reading and playing cards with patients.

“Our goal is to help our patients live their life to the fullest, right up to the final moment. We are thrilled to receive support from local businesses like Cloud Cap Technology,” said Jodi Goatcher, CEO Heart of Hospice.

Heart of Hospice Foundation was established to provide emotional and financial support to Hospice patients and families out-side the scope of normal Hospice benefits. For more information or to donate please visit, www.heartof
