Letter to the editor: Divine judgment?

To the editor:

I just finished reading a book written by a man who documented negative things we as a nation did to Israel. Every time we were negative, we had a bad weather issue: Katrina and Superstorm Sandy are only two of many. This makes me wonder about the million-plus acres of fires we are experiencing after we are rejoicing over pot issues and same-sex marriages.

Sodom was destroyed by the God of creation or turning their backs on God. We have “In God we trust” on our coins but sort of give God (Jesus) the finger and are happy about it. We even have parades to celebrate.

Sodom didn’t get away with it and neither will we. One fire in Wash. covers about 300,000 acres and is not done. At the same time, the news reports a shortage of marijuana? In the meantime, chaos is in the Middle East and if the Word of God is correct, we are preparing for a war that will erase one third of the world’s population. The Word of God says it will start in the Euphrates River area. Look where the problem is: Iran, Iraq, Syria. Wow!

Do you here this in church? No. Why not?

Now we have thousands of illegals crossing the border and surely there are ones who are gang members who plan on serious destruction of the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. We voted in Muslim president who campaigned with “Hope and Change” but he didn’t say change to what.

Our border patrol is spending more time babysitting than border duty and Obama is happy with that. He is spending more time and money making money, making speeches than tending to the business of the day.

We will not have the hand or the blessing of God much longer if we continue as we are. I would encourage you to get into your King James Bible and get serious with the Lord. We are seeing bad things and this is just the beginning.
