Accidents

Oregon State Police

June 2, 11:43 a.m. – Two vehicle, injury crash, Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 135. Driver of one vehicle stated he fell asleep and ran into the vehicle in front of him. One driver was cited for following too closely and the other was cited for driving with no seat belt. The driver and passenger of one vehicle were transported to the hospital. A report was taken.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

May 30, 4:00 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 200 block of East 7th Place on a report of a smoke detector activation.

Upon arrival contact was made with the occupant of the home who advised there was no fire and that the alarm was set off after burning some food on the stove. No problem was found.

May 31, 3:32 p.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 72 on a report of a vehicle fire.

Upon arrival the vehicle’s engine compartment and pickup cab were fully involved. The vehicle was extinguished and was fully destroyed.

June 2, 3:15 p.m. – Personnel responded to Ketchum Road on a mutual aid request from the Oregon Department of Forestry to assist with a fire.

Personnel also responded to ten calls for emergency medical services on Friday, five on Saturday, three on Sunday and six on Monday.

The Dalles City

John Scott Frizzell, 51, no listed address, was arrested Friday morning in the 300 block of Court Street and is accused of two counts of second-degree criminal trespass and first-degree disorderly conduct.

Staci Lane May, 34, Herriman, Utah, was arrested Friday afternoon at a location undisclosed by the department and is accused of two counts of harassment.

Lawrence Charles Brown, 19, no listed address, was arrested Friday afternoon at the police station and is accused of three counts of third-degree sodomy and three counts of third-degree sexual abuse.

Robert Joe Young, 39, 913 Laughlin St., was arrested Friday afternoon in his home and is accused of probation violation.

A hit and run report was taken Friday evening from a location undisclosed by the department after a father reported his daughter’s vehicle was damaged during the day.

Jeremy Paul Mashore, 36, Goldendale, was arrested Friday evening in the 3500 block of West 2nd Street and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, two counts of third-degree assault, hit and run, and two counts of recklessly endangering.

Terrance Garrett McDonald, 54, Celilo Village, was arrested early Saturday morning in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street and is accused of third-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass.

A restraining order violation report was taken Saturday morning from the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street after a victim reported a male suspect followed her home from a store and parked in front of the home for a period of time. The incident is under investigation.

A theft report was taken Saturday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after an employee reported observing a theft from the previous day while reviewing video surveillance. The incident is under investigation.

William Joseph Flood, 44, no listed address, was arrested Saturday afternoon at East 2nd and Washington streets and is accused of third-degree theft and first-degree criminal mischief.

A theft report was taken Saturday evening from a location undisclosed by the department after an employee reported a suspect left the station without paying for gas.

Police responded to a location undisclosed by the department Saturday evening after a victim reported a back window was shattered in his vehicle. Contact was made with a subject who claimed responsibility; arrangements were made with the victim and suspect to take care of the damage.

A theft report was taken early Sunday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported a vehicle was broken into.

A stolen vehicle report was taken Sunday morning from a location undisclosed by the department.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Sunday afternoon after victim reported his vehicle was rummaged through overnight.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Sunday evening after a mother reported her son’s vehicle was broken into sometime within the previous day and had some items missing from within.

A theft report was taken Monday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported some prescription medicine was missing.

A criminal mischief report was taken Monday afternoon from West 6th and Chenowith Loop streets after a victim reported her disabled vehicle was vandalized overnight.

A runaway report was taken Monday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department. The family called back later in theevening to advised the juvenile had returned home.

Police responded to the 900 block of Cherry Heights Road Monday afternoon after staff found a subject deceased. A death investigation report was taken.

Jarod Ryan Thomas, 46, Warm Springs, was arrested Monday afternoon near the skate park and is accused of third-degree theft.

Mariah Dawn Hernandez, 28, 2223 East 12th St., was arrested Monday evening in the 1500 block of View Court and is accused of providing false information to a police officer and violation of post-prison supervision sanctions.

A theft report was taken Monday evening from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported her adult son came to her home this morning and stole some money. The incident is under investigation.

Wasco County

Shawn Christopher Beam, 38, Kent, was arrested Friday morning in the 5000 block of Discovery Drive on a courtesy hold for Umatilla County.

An agency assist report was taken Friday evening from the 3500 block of West 2nd Street after assisting city police with an intoxicated driver investigation.

Marvin John Krause, 61, no listed address, was arrested Saturday morning from a location undisclosed by the department and is accused of second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree disorderly conduct.

William Richard Snider, 67, Fairfield, Calif., was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Brett Clodfelter Way and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Robert Merritt Kuhlman, 54, Maupin, was arrested Monday morning in Dufur and is accused of driving while suspended and felon in possession of a weapon.

Oregon State Police

An agency assist report was taken Friday evening from the 3500 block of West 2nd Street after assisting city police with an intoxicated driver investigation.

State police responded to Intestate 84 westbound, milepost 73 Saturday afternoon to assist with traffic control while the fire department extinguished a vehicle fire.

An agency assist report was taken Saturday evening from the 3200 block of Brett Clodfelter Way after assisting sheriff’s deputies with an intoxicated driver investigation.

Ashely Kaelin Corriell, 24, Richland, Wash., was arrested Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 69 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, and possession of a controlled substance.

Trooper made contact with three subjects Monday morning near White River Falls.

They were advised they were not allowed in that area yet and were verbally trespassed from the property, they moved along.

A lost property report was taken Monday morning at the state police office after a female victim came in to report her identification card was missing, she was unable to track where exactly it was lost from.

David Edward Cnossen, 34, no listed address, was arrested Monday evening during a traffic stop on Cherry Heights and Sandstone roads on a Sherman County warrant for contempt of court.

Sherman County

Wendy Rae Hernandez, 43, Kennewick, Wash., was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop on Highway 97, milepost 24 and is accused of reckless driving. She was also arrested on a Sherman County warrant for first-degree failure to appear and probation violation.

Gilliam County

Lance Nation Averett, 44, Kingston, Wash., was arrested Saturday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 141 and is accused of unlawful possession of marijuana.

John Alan McQuiler, 56, San Francisco, Calif., was arrested Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 141 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Regional Jail

Kevin Kyle Fritz, 41, Corbett, was booked and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for a wildlife offense.

Parole & Probation

Kody Mitchell Eastman, 20, no listed address, was arrested Friday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.

Rochelle Lynette Carter, 31, 105 West 14th St., was arrested Friday evening at the regional jail and is accused of probation violation.
