Three weeks from now, the action is expected to be fierce, as the Sasquatch 4s Ladies Tournament celebrates its 40th anniversary from June 20-22 at The Dalles Country Club.
This is a four-woman best-ball event, and players are expected to choose their partners for this event.
Teams will play in pairs.
Each pair of golfers will play along with a pair from another team.
Overall, the best-ball score of each pair from the team will be combined to make the total team score.
There is a daily team best-ball both days for the day’s foursome.
In the past, the scores have been very good, with several top names signing up to fight for local bragging rights.
Last year, just two strokes made the difference between the top two four-person teams.
In the net tournament, Laura Hess, Stephanie Adams, Lori Harris and Bev Tuttle, representing TDCC, combined forces for a 255 tally to slip past Sharon Austin, Dixie Schanno, Gladys Caddy and Jill Durow, who shot a 257.
Entry fees are set at $75 for each golfer and those costs take care of the practice round Friday, June 20, and dinner Saturday, June 21.
Various individual prizes will be awarded each day for contestants, who must be 21 or older to compete.
Awards will be given out after play Sunday afternoon, June 22.
A $5 trail fee applies for those who use their own power carts.
Cart rental is $26 per 18 holes and requires a reservation.
Entry deadline is June 6 and is limited to 72 players.
Call the pro shop at 541-296-5252 for cart reservations and entry.
