Accidents

The Dalles City

March 3, 4:24 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 1300 block of West 6th Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information between the involved drivers.

Wasco County

February 28, 6:03 p.m. – Single vehicle, injury accident, Wamic. Driver information was not made available. Driver lost control of the vehicle while driving in the area, the vehicle struck a fence on some property. The driver was taken to the hospital by a friend for injuries sustained during the crash. A report was taken.

March 2, 5:57 p.m. – Single vehicle, unknown injury accident, Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 97. Vehicle rolled over and was blocking the lanes of travel. A report was taken.

Oregon State Police

Troopers responded to over 20 motor vehicle crashes along Interstate 84 over the weekend due to the icy road conditions.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

March 2, 12:35 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 5100 block of Cherry Heights Road on a report of a chimney fire. Occupant reported seeing a fire in his cleanout area of the stove and glowing near the wall. Light smoke was coming from the chimney upon arrival. The cleanout area was extinguished; there was no other sign of fire.

Personnel also responded to ten calls for emergency medical services on Friday, four on Saturday, seven on Sunday and eleven on Monday.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Kelsey Elsa Baker, 32, Celilo Village, was arrested Friday morning in the community corrections office and is accused of three counts of probation violation.

A criminal mischief report was taken Friday afternoon from the 400 block of East 2nd Street after a victim reported her vehicle had been keyed and some graffiti applied to her business.

A theft report was taken Friday evening from the 2600 block of West 6th Street after an employee reported a suspect fled the store without paying for an item.

Connor Macleod Chapman, 23, Hillsboro, was arrested Friday evening in the 2600 block of West 6th Street and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal mischief.

Michael David Shinnick, 43, no listed address, was arrested Saturday morning in the 800 block of East 2nd Street and is accused of probation violation, aggravated harassment, and second-degree disorderly conduct.

A theft report was taken Saturday morning from the 1200 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported someone took some items from her vehicle while she was working.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Saturday morning from the 800 block of Hostetler Way after a victim reported her vehicle was entered overnight and had some items taken.

A found property report was taken Saturday morning from West 10th and Vey streets after a caller reported spotting an abandoned bike in the area. The bike was picked up and impounded.

A theft report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 1500 block of East 12th Street after a victim reported she attempted to purchase a dog online but was scammed for several thousand dollars.

Kelvin Fredrick Lucas, 43, 800 East 13th Street, was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 1200 block of West 6th Street and is accused of third-degree theft.

William Joseph Flood, 44, no listed address, was arrested Saturday evening in the 900 block of Pomona Street and is accused of second-degree criminal trespass.

A runaway report was taken early Sunday morning from the 3800 block of West 10th Street. The runaway returned later in the morning and was removed from the system.

Travis Lawrence Cooper, 25, no listed address, was arrested Sunday morning in the 2500 block of West 6th Street and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Luis Barajas Cardenas, 60, 610 Washington St. No. 17, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 300 block of Union Street and is accused of second-degree criminal trespass.

A runaway report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 1300 block of Perkins Street.

An informational report was taken Sunday evening from the 900 block of Lillian Way after a caller reported some coins were missing from her home. During the investigation the coins were found but she also requested the police take some property that belonged to her son as the items may be stolen. The incident is under investigation.

Tiffany Anne Blake, 25, 3625 West 8th St., was arrested Monday morning in her home and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines. Jason Michael Barker, 27, 2412 West 10th St. No. 62, was also arrested and is accused of third-degree theft and unlawful possession of methamphetamines. Jimmy Lee Cain, 21, 3817 West 10th St. No. 43, was also arrested on a circuit court warrant for parole violation and is also accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

A juvenile female was cited and released for harassment and disorderly conduct Monday afternoon at the high school.

Christina Lee Schultze, 36, Dallesport, was arrested Monday afternoon during a traffic stop in the 900 block of Washington Street and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A theft report was taken Monday afternoon from the 700 block of Veterans Drive.

Robert E. Young, 53, Maupin, was arrested Monday afternoon at the regional jail on a Linn County warrant for probation violation, parole violation, and first-degree failure to appear. He was also arrested on a circuit court warrant for reckless driving and driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Police responded to the 2400 block of West 7th Street Monday evening after a caller reported a male subject came and pounded on her door with bloody hands and left the area. The incident is under investigation.

Wasco County

A burglary report was taken early Saturday morning from the 3800 block of West 10th Street after a victim got home from work and found her house was broken into.

Cory James Widner, 22, Mosier, was arrested Saturday morning in his home and is accused of possession of a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, and third-degree escape.

Police responded to a location Saturday evening after a caller reported her juvenile daughter was assaulting her and her boyfriend. The juvenile was arrested and accused of two counts of fourth-degree assault and lodged at the juvenile detention facility.

Corey Allen Chuck, 31, Wamic, was arrested early Sunday morning in Wamic and is accused of first-degree arson, first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass, reckless burning, and second-degree theft.

Deputy responded to an unknown location early Monday morning after a caller reported finding his brother deceased in his home. A report was taken.

A harassment report was taken early Tuesday morning after deputy responded to a location where a victim reported being shoved down by male suspect. The incident is under investigation.

Oregon State Police

Gilberto Aleman Zapien, 51, 1517 East 10th St., was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84, milepost 88 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants, recklessly endangering, and being a fugitive of ICE.

Harry Max Bullock III, 41, 126 West 6th St. No. 3, was arrested Monday morning in the 3300 block of Bret Clodfelter Way and is accused of failure to register as a sex offender.

Regional Jail

Jeffrey Lee Shegrud, 51, Rufus, was jailed Monday on a Tri-County court commitment for probation violation.

Stacie Lynn Nienhaus, 49, Rapid City, South Dakota, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for second-degree failure to appear.

Beth Louise Jackson, 45, Vancouver, Wash., was jailed Monday on a Sherman County court commitment for probation violation.

John Thomas Buffalo Ball, 36, Warm Springs, was jailed Monday on a Sherman County court commitment for driving while suspended.

Eric Ramires Medina, 26, 403 West 3rd St., was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for third-degree assault.

Jesus Francisco Rodriguez, 31, Gresham, was booked and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for using an invalid driver’s license.

Guadalupe Moya Jr., 39, Hermiston, was booked and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for driving while suspended.

Parole & Probation

Mariah Dawn Hernandez, 28, 2223 East 12th St., was arrested Friday morning at the regional jail and is accused of probation violation.

Kathryn Mae Foss, 45, 3311 West 13th St., was arrested Friday afternoon in the 500 block of Washington Street and is accused of two counts of probation violation.
