Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

March 4, 10:09 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 400 block of Lone Pine Drive on a report of a panel alarm. Nothing visible was showing upon arrival. Contact was made with a maintenance worker who advised they were testing the alarm, no problem was found.

March 4, 7:31 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 1300 block of East 15th Street on a report of an odor investigation. Occupant reported smelling something hot in the basement like burning plastic. Nothing was showing upon arrival. The home was entered and an electrical smell was observed. The source was pinned down to the power supply of a treadmill. The occupant was advised to change the power supply of the treadmill before using again.

Personnel also responded to three calls for emergency medical services.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

A criminal mischief report was taken Tuesday morning from the 3600 block of West 10th Street after staff advised someone attempted to break the door handle on the main door.

Police initiated a traffic stop Tuesday morning at West 6th and Hostetler streets when the suspect fled the stop in his vehicle. He was pursued to Ketchum Road where he then fled on foot and was not found; a report was taken.

Janet Lynn Kellogg, 57, Mosier, was arrested Tuesday afternoon at the police station and is accused of first-degree aggravated theft and three counts of third-degree theft.

Gerardo Casillas Rodriguez, 33, 2525 West 8th St. No. 50, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in his home and is accused of fourth-degree assault, first-degree criminal mistreatment, and being a fugitive of ICE.

Jason Jay James, 34, no listed address, was arrested Tuesday evening in the 1400 block of West 6th Street on a State Parole Board warrant for four counts of parole violation.

Richard Garrett Cobos, 37, no listed address, was arrested Tuesday evening in the 1100 block of Emerson Street and is accused of probation violation.

A burglary report was taken early Wednesday morning from the 1100 block of Kelly Avenue after staff observed a broken window in the building.

Lawrence Jay Quain, 57, 3207 West 7th St. Unit B, was arrested early Wednesday morning in his home on a Douglas County warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Wasco County

An assault report was taken early Tuesday morning after a victim reported a female suspect came to his home confronting him and his girlfriend. The suspect had slapped him and scratched him during the altercation, the incident is under investigation.

Deputy cited a dog owner Tuesday afternoon after the dog had gotten loose and was being aggressive towards people in the area. The dog was also seized and quarantined at the animal shelter.

Oregon State Police

A driver was cited and released for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana during a traffic stop on Highway 97 southbound, milepost 53.

Regional Jail

Cleve Barry Liston, 35, Arlington, was jailed Tuesday after turning himself in on a circuit court warrant for probation violation.
