Mosier To the editor:
Wake up, America. The odor I smell from Amerities smells like money to me — family-supporting jobs, which we need badly in this country. There is something wrong, in my opinion, if we are so intolerant that we can’t put up with a little odor now and then.
Sure, it’s wonderful to get dollars from visiting tourists, but if they didn’t have jobs somewhere, they would have no money to spend in our town.
We need to spend our time and tax dollars fighting things that don’t seem to put out actual odors in the air, like the use of illegal drugs, or children dropping out of school, child abuse, drunk driving and homelessness. These issues are affecting a lot of families in this area and need attention. So quit whining about a smell and help people you love.
