Accidents

The Dalles City

March 9, 6:22 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury accident, West 7th and Walnut streets. Officer located a vehicle that had wrecked near the ball fields in the area, there was no occupant inside the vehicle. The driver later came to the scene and advised he was not hurt. A report was taken as there was property damage.

March 7, 1:27 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 400 block of East 4th Street on a report of a smoke odor coming from a residence. Nothing was showing upon arrival. Contact was made with the home occupant who advised that a light fixture is having some issues in a room in the home. No problem was observed and the occupant was advised to leave the switch off and consult an electrician for fixing the issue.

March 7, 5:35 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 900 block of Richmond Street on a report of a carbon monoxide alarm. Caller reported the home had been evacuated after the alarm sounded. Occupant stated they gas fireplace was acting funny. Nothing out of the ordinary was found, she was advised to leave the fireplace off and contact a repair person to look at the unit.

March 7, 8:55 p.m. – Personnel responded to East 7th and Court streets on a report of a possible gas leak. Several people going through the area called to report a strong odor of natural gas in the area. Nothing was observed upon arrival. The area was checked and there was no smell or signs of gas in the air. No problem was found.

March 8, 5:02 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 500 block of Lone Pine Drive on a report of an alarm activation. Nothing was observed upon arrival. Contact was made with staff who had no idea how or why the alarm had gone off. No problem as found.

March 8, 10:05 p.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 73 on a report of smoke in the area. A large 20 by 30 pile was found smoldering in the area of mostly yard debris. There was a water source near the fire but no one was present. There was heavy rain in the area and there was no danger for the fire to spread, units cleared.

March 10, 12:16 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 1500 block of East 19th Street on a report of a residential fire alarm. Nothing was showing upon arrival. Contact was made with the occupant who said that there was no problem and he didn’t call the fire department. He stated he had a microwave fire but he dealt with it. He also stated the alarm has been malfunctioning. No problem was found.

Personnel also responded to 11 calls for emergency medical services on Friday, nine on Saturday, three on Sunday and seven on Monday.

The Dalles City

Misty Leigh White, 22, Goldendale, was arrested Friday morning in the 1300 block of West 6th Street and is accused of third-degree theft.

Police responded to the high school Friday afternoon after administrative staff reported a female juvenile was sexually assaulted on school grounds; the incident is under investigation.

David Michael Foote, 53, was arrested Friday afternoon at West 1st and Webber streets on a municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Police responded to West 6th and Liberty streets Friday evening after a caller reported observing a male subject exposing himself by standing in his doorway naked. Contact was attempted at the suspect residence but there was no answer at the door and the subjects vehicle was gone.

William Jackson Lewis, 55, 800 East 13th St., was arrested Friday evening in his home on a municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

A theft report was taken early Saturday morning from the 200 block of East 2nd Street after a victim reported his wallet was missing. The wallet was returned to the sheriff’s office later in the morning but money was missing.

Michael Allen Naujoks, 44, 2510 West 2nd St. No. 11, was arrested Saturday afternoon in his home on a circuit court warrant for probation violation.

An identity theft report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 600 block of Hostetler Street.

Allison Mary-Elizabeth Brown, 34, Hillsboro, was arrested during a traffic stop early Sunday morning at East 3rd and Jefferson streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Alexis Nichole Goodman, 26, 3604 West 8th St., was arrested Sunday morning in her home on a municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Nichole Justine Worley, 20, 3817 West 10th St. No. 43, was arrested Sunday afternoon at West 7th and Pleasant streets on a municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Tobi Wayne McGuirk, 39, 1318 West 10th St., was arrested Sunday evening in his home on a municipal court warrant for failure to appear.

Carlos Omar Aranda-Ortiz, 20, 726 East 14th St., was arrested Sunday evening in his home on a municipal court warrant for failure to appear.

A found property report was taken early Monday morning from West 11th and Union streets after a large piece of equipment was left in the sidewalk.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Monday morning from the 1500 block of Oregon Street after a victim reported her unlocked vehicle was prowled overnight.

A theft report was taken Monday afternoon from the 1100 block of Emerson Street after a victim reported his vehicle was broken into overnight and his wallet was taken.

William Anthony Henry, 38, 2700 West 7th St. No. 23, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 3600 block of West 6th Street on a circuit court warrant for parole violation. He is also accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Ferman Brian Tufti, 54, 2730 Old Dufur Rd. was also arrested and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and a Klickitat County warrant for being a fugitive from the state of Washington.

A theft report was taken Monday evening from the 1000 block of Pomona Street after a victim reported a female suspect took some items from the home.

A theft report was taken Monday evening from the 200 block of East 12th Street after a victim reported her adult son stole some items from the home.

Wasco County

A runaway report was taken Friday evening from an unknown location; the juvenile male was last seen earlier in the day.

Mark Gordon Heron, 49, 601 Pentland St., was arrested early Saturday morning in his home on a circuit court warrant for contempt of court.

Deputy responded to Rock Creek area Saturday afternoon after some items were located that were related to a case from four years prior.

TJ Alden Yeh Yun, 20, 308 East 12th St., was arrested Saturday afternoon at West 10th and Bridge streets and is accused of disorderly conduct.

A first-degree theft and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Monday morning after a victim reported his storage vehicle was broken into overnight.

Carroll Ralph Norwood, 40, Dufur, was arrested Monday afternoon in his home and is accused of first-degree theft, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, and second-degree criminal trespass.

Brandon Thomas Christian, 30, Tygh Valley, was arrested Monday evening in his home on a Polk County warrant for probation violation.

Oregon State Police

Martin Gomez, 56, Las Vegas, Nevada, was arrested Friday morning during a traffic stop on Interstate 84, milepost 116 and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines and possession of a money laundering instrument.

A recovered stolen vehicle report was taken Friday afternoon from Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 96 after a trooper stopped to assist a stranded vehicle. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Lane County. The driver was unaware of the issue with the vehicle and was not arrested; the vehicle was impounded and the incident is under investigation.

Rebecca Lynn Muro, 32, 615 Pentland St., was arrested Saturday morning during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 102 and is accused of driving while suspended.

Ethan Wade Batman, 41, Goldendale, was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop at West 6th and Webber streets and is accused of driving while suspended. He was also arrested on a Multnomah County warrant for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Lori Denise Dobbs, 50, Woodburn, was arrested Sunday afternoon in Rufus and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct.

Krista Dawn Dixon Penaloza, 29, Madras, was arrested Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 97 northbound, milepost 59 and is accused of violation of a restraining order.

William Dean Goss, 28, 2435 East 14th St., was arrested Monday evening during a traffic stop on East 2nd and Frontage streets on a municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear. He is also accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Sherman County

David Edward Cnossen, 34, no listed address, was arrested Friday evening in The Dalles and is accused of 19 counts of first-degree theft and first-degree aggravated theft. He is also accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Jeremy Lynn Strickland, 31, Wasco, was arrested Saturday evening and is accused of fourth-degree domestic assault.

Edgar Saucedo Ornelas, 24, Kennewick, Wash., was arrested Sunday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 103 and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines, driving under the influence of intoxicants, and being a fugitive of ICE. Mayra Martinez, 31, Stanfield, was also arrested during the traffic stop and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Gilliam County

Russell Calvin Corley, 52, Condon, was arrested Saturday evening in his home and is accused of fourth-degree assault.

Regional Jail

Steven Thomas Hadley, 56, Wamic, was jailed Sunday on a circuit court commitment for reckless driving and driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Richard Wayne Jackman, 52, Goldendale, was jailed Monday morning on a circuit court commitment for fourth-degree assault and harassment.

Jerry Leon Davis, 47, Hood River, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, and two counts of fourth-degree assault.

Monty Ray Reynolds, 46, 1205 Lincoln St., was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants.
