Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

March 18, 7:04 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 400 block of West 7th Street on a report of a chimney fire. Upon arrival smoke was observed coming from the chimney but no flames. Contact was made with the resident who advised they didn’t need any assistance and they had the issue under control.

March 18, 7:46 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 200 block of West 4th Street on a report of an electrical problem. Nothing was visible upon arrival. Contact was made with a resident who advised they plugged a device into an outlet, which caused the outlet to overheat. The area was checked and there was no structure damage only to the outlet and wiring. The occupant was advised to contact their landlord and have an electrician fix the problem.

Personnel also responded to nine calls for emergency medical services.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

A 60-year-old The Dalles male was arrested Tuesday morning in the 300 block of Court Street on a municipal court warrant for two counts of second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree theft, resisting arrest, and violation of a release agreement.

A 24-year-old The Dalles male was arrested Tuesday morning in the 1200 block of East 13th Street on a circuit court warrant for two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of third-degree sexual abuse.

A 20-year-old The Dalles female was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 2800 block of West 7th Street and is accused of criminal nonsupport, endangering the welfare of a minor, and unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Wasco County

A theft report was taken Tuesday morning after a victim reported their license plate was stolen over the weekend.

A 26-year-old The Dalles male was arrested Tuesday morning in the 900 block of Chenowith Loop Road on a Multnomah County warrant for contempt of court.

An identity theft report was taken Tuesday afternoon after a victim reported someone used her information to open up a credit card; the incident is under investigation.

Regional Jail

A 44-year-old The Dalles female was booked and released Tuesday on a circuit court commitment for first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree criminal mischief.

Three subjects were transported into the regional jail from outside agencies Tuesday after being arrested on circuit court warrants.

Parole & Probation

A 30-year-old The Dalles female was arrested Tuesday morning in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.

A 52-year-old The Dalles male was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of three counts of probation violation.

A 45-year-old The Dalles female was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.
