A quilt made by Corliss Marsh inched the Friends of The Dalles-Wasco County Library closer to their goal to expand the library, providing more space for children and teens.

The winning ticket was drawn during a fundraiser by the Friends of The Dalles-Wasco County Library in partnership with Burgerville Tuesday evening.

The building project provides for a dedicated space for children and youth in the library.

Financing for the project relies on private donations and grants. The Library Foundation is close to matching the $100,000 pledge of a local The Dalles family.

Donations for the project in check form can be mailed to the Foundation at 722 Court Street, The Dalles, Oregon.

More information is available at The Dalles-Wasco County Library website at: www.wasco.plinkit.org/ and on The Children’s Expansion Project Face book page.

The Dalles-Wasco County Library Foundation recently chose FFA Architects’ proposal to prepare the first phase of the building documents.
