"Black Comedy" opens Friday, March 28

REHEARSALS ARE under way for “Black Comedy,” the Theatre Company of The Dalles dinner theater production premiering Friday, March 28. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m., with performance beginning at 7:30 p.m. Evening performances continue March 29, April 4 and April 5. Matinees will be at 2 p.m. March 30 and April 6. “Black Comedy,” the Theatre Company of The Dalles dinner theater production, will premier Friday, March 28. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m., with performance beginning at 7:30 p.m. Evening performances continue March 29, April 4 and April 5. Matinees will be at 2 p.m. March 30 and April 6.

Struggling artist Brindsley Miller and his fiance Carol are having a party with the aim of impressing Carol’s bombastic father, Colonel Melkett, and millionaire George Bamberger, who may buy some of Brindsley’s sculptures. Before guests arrive, the main fuse blows, plunging the flat into darkness; only the audience can see what is happening.
