Dufur Christian Church

Bonnie Leon, author of 19 novels, including her bestselling “Journey of Eleven Moons,” will be the speaker for the Women’s Spring Event, April 5, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dufur Christian Church. Sunrise Service

Easter Sunrise Service at Pulpit Rock will be at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 20, and feature speaker Fred Sheldon, pastor at the Life Line Baptist Church.

Fellowship Forum

The Mid-Columbia Fellowship of Churches monthly forum for April will feature “Leaving a Legacy,” a panel of speakers who will invite participants to consider leaving a part of the estate to their faith community or other charitable group, and provide a form to help facilitate the process.

Participants will be given an opportunity to share personal experiences and ask questions.

The event will be Tuesday, April 22, at the First United Methodist Church, 305 E. 11th St. A light snack and coffee will be provided.

Taizé Services

A special opportunity to reflect, center and pray will be offered April 1, at Old St. Paul’s Chapel, 601 Union St., in The Dalles, at 7 p.m..

Taizé is an ecumenical prayer service that incorporates simple, meditative songs and periods of silent reflection. Participants from all walks of life are welcome to attend, no church affiliation is necessary.

St. Paul’s Episcopal

This Lent, St. Paul’s is focusing on Forgiveness. The church will host Wednesday night Soup Suppers at 6 p.m., read together a short story about forgiving, and end with evening prayer. All are welcome to attend.

United Church of Christ

During the season of Lent, the United Church of Christ will host a book study Wednesday noon by author Lillian Daniel entitled “When Spiritual but Not Religious Is Not Enough.” The group will gather in the church parlor. Participants are invited to bring a lunch. Sunday service is at 10 a.m.
