The Dalles City

May 1, 1:13 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 500 block of Mt. Hood. Driver of one vehicle backed into another, one driver was cited for driving while suspended. A report was taken.

Oregon State Police

May 1, 3:03 p.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 98. A male driver swerved off the road onto the shoulder causing the vehicle to go into a ditch. The crash was logged.

May 2, 2:23 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Highway 97. Male driver was heading south on Highway 97 when he fell asleep at the wheel causing the vehicle to go off the roadway. He was cited for driving uninsured; the vehicle was impounded.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

May 1, 5:51 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 1700 block of West 10th Street on a report of a natural gas odor. Reporting party reported smelling gas as she was working. The building was checked and no abnormal readings were found. The gas company also responded and could not find anything abnormal. Other staff reported smelling a faint skunk odor while arriving to work which may have been the cause of the odor. No problem found.

Personnel also responded to six calls for emergency medical services.

The Dalles City

A theft report was taken Thursday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported his phone was stolen at work.

A theft report was taken Thursday afternoon at a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported he misplaced his wallet. He called back later in the afternoon and advised he found it.

Police responded to a location undisclosed by the department Thursday afternoon after a caller reported a domestic dispute. Caller was involved in an altercation with her granddaughter in which both had mutually harassed one another. No charges were pursued at this time but an informational report was taken. Both subjects separated for the day.

Rodney Gene Jones, 38, 1011 Maple St., was arrested Thursday evening in the 800 block of Hostetler Way on a circuit court warrant for two counts of felon in possession of a restricted weapon, failure to appear, and probation violation.

A runaway report was taken Thursday evening from a location undisclosed by the department.

A theft of services report was taken early Friday morning from the 3200 block of Bret Clodfelter Way after an employee reported a vehicle left without paying for gas.

Wasco County

A death report was taken Thursday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department.

Chance Widner, 24, Mosier, was arrested Thursday evening in his home and is accused of probation violation and second-degree disorderly conduct.

Deputy responded to a location undisclosed by the department Thursday evening on a report of a dispute. Contact was made with the male and female involved. The male was cited for harassment and the couple separated for the evening. A report was taken.

Oregon State Police

A female driver from Portland was cited and released for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana during a traffic stop early Friday morning on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 77.

Gilliam County

Kiki Elisabeth Star Johnson, 19, Longview, Wash., was arrested Thursday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 139 and is accused of two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
