Integrated 3D Manufacturing would like to add its endorsement and support for Wasco County Commissioners Scott Hege, Rod Runyon, and Steve Kramer. As a newly located small business in The Port of The Dalles, we would like to share our job-creation success story and emphasize the critical role these commissioners played in recruiting and enabling the successful start-up of our business.
In the past two months, Integrated 3D Manufacturing created five full-time, family wage jobs with full benefits and plans another seven more over the next 12 to 18 months.
Our 3D metal printing company is helping bring manufacturing back to the Columbia River Gorge. However, our decision to locate in The Dalles would not have been possible without the dedication and tireless efforts of Scott Hege, Rod Runyon, and Steve Kramer. After many weeks of trying to find affordable space in The Dalles, I3D Manufacturing was actively recruited by Redmond and had decided to move in that direction and give up the search in the gorge. Upon hearing the shift in plans, the commissioners gathered information, offered support, made phone calls and, ultimately, changed our minds.
It did not cost taxpayers additional funds nor additional concessions; it was simply sweat equity, coordinated efforts, and laser focus on jobs by the commissioners that made the difference. They understand small business, job creation, the importance of employer paid benefits and the balance with profitability and cash flow.
