Accidents

Wasco County

May 3, 2:22 a.m. – Single vehicle, injury accident, Dufur. Passenger called reporting the male driver of the vehicle he was in had rolled the vehicle and had a head wound. The driver was transported to a hospital in Portland. A report was taken.

May 3, 1:35 p.m. – Single vehicle, injury accident, Adkisson and Fax roads. Rally car had caught fire during the race. The patient was transported to the local hospital for minor burns. A report was taken.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

May 3, 8:09 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 3200 block of Sandlin Road on a report of a tree fire. A small attended open burn was found. The property owner was following all the rules and advised he’d have the fire out by dark. No problem found.

May 4, 9:25 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 2400 block of East 10th Street on a report of a backyard burn that had an explosion. A small attended open burn was located in which a deodorant can was found to be the cause of the explosion. The owner was counseled on following permit regulations and only burn legal materials.

Personnel also responded to 10 calls for emergency medical services on Friday, 10 on Saturday, seven on Sunday and three on Monday.

The Dalles City

A theft report was taken Friday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported her bicycle was stolen.

Michael Edward Johnson, 25, 701 East 12th St., was arrested Friday morning in his home and is accused of three counts of fourth-degree assault.

Police responded to a location undisclosed by the department Friday morning after a juvenile male attempted to cash a check on an account that was closed. The juvenile was arrested and lodged at the regional jail facility.

Adam Shane Meyer, 39, 5495 Dolan Rd., was arrested Friday afternoon in the 2100 block of View Court on a circuit court warrant for two counts of first-degree failure to appear and two counts of second-degree failure to appear. He is also accused of providing false information to a police officer and second-degree criminal trespass.

An assault report was taken Friday afternoon from the high school after a caller reported his nephew was assaulted by another juvenile at school during the day.

Byron Ray Spencer, Wapato, Wash., was arrested Friday evening in the 800 block of East 13th Street on a Umatilla County warrant for violation of post-prison supervision sanctions.

Joseph Michael Smith, 36, 511 Liberty St. No. 2, was arrested early Saturday morning at West 6th and Mt. Hood streets on a circuit court warrant for four counts of probation violation. He is also accused of second-degree criminal trespass, unlawful possession of methamphetamines, and second-degree disorderly conduct.

A found property report was taken Saturday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a gaming console was found. The property was seized.

An assault report was taken Saturday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported her boyfriend hit her head during a dispute. The incident is under investigation.

An agency assist report was taken Saturday evening from the hospital after assisting Hood River police with collecting evidence.

Orlando Bartholomew Tewee, 25, Madras, was arrested early Sunday morning in the 200 block of East 2nd Street on a circuit court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Police responded to the hospital early Sunday morning after staff reported a nude male subject ran into the emergency room and locked himself in the bathroom. Contact was made with the subject who was given a robe by staff. He stated he was drugged and wanted his blood drawn but staff refused to do so. He was given a ride back to his home.

A burglary report was taken Sunday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported his home was entered sometime overnight.

Terrance Garrett McDonald, 54, Celilo Village, was arrested Sunday evening in the 1600 block of Nevada Street and is accused of second-degree criminal trespass.

Nicholas Michael Lowe, 32, 1300 E. 13th St., was arrested early Monday morning in the 2900 block of West 8th Street on a circuit court warrant for probation violation.

Jason Michael Barker, 27, no listed address, was arrested early Monday morning at West 8th and Chenowith Loop streets and is accused of probation violation.

A criminal mischief report was taken Monday morning at Festival Park after an employee reported a restroom had graffiti applied inside over the weekend.

A theft of services report was taken Monday morning from the 2700 block of West 6th Street after an employee reported a vehicle fled the station without paying for gas.

Police responded to a location undisclosed by the department Monday morning after a bank reported receiving counterfeit money in an ATM deposit. A report was taken.

Zachary Nathaniel Flock, 18, 812 East 14th St., was arrested Monday morning in the 300 block of Court Street and is accused of telephonic harassment.

A found property report was taken Monday afternoon at the police station after a citizen brought in a wallet that they found.

A telephonic harassment report was taken Monday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after a female victim reported a male suspect called and left her a message after repeatedly being told not to call the victim.

A restraining order violation report was taken Monday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim called to report her husband had a third party subject deliver her a message from him which violates court order.

A death report was taken early Tuesday morning from a location undisclosed by the department.

Wasco County

A burglary report was taken Friday evening from a location undisclosed by the department after a caller reported her neighbor observed a vehicle leaving the residence while no one was home. When the caller arrived home she noticed many items were gone. The incident is under investigation.

A second-degree burglary report was taken Saturday evening from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported someone entered her garage and stole some items.

A runaway report was taken Sunday evening from a location undisclosed by the department.

Deputy responded to the regional jail Monday afternoon after a subject who was being admitted to the jail on a court commitment attempted to sneak in chewing tobacco. A report was taken.

Oregon State Police

A male suspect was cited and released for no resident angling license Friday afternoon on the Deschutes River after he was found in possession of three trout.

A male driver was cited and released for driving uninsured during a traffic stop Friday evening on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 84; the vehicle was impounded.

A male suspect was cited and released for aiding in a wildlife offense Saturday evening in Mosier after he and his juvenile daughter were trespassing on land in an attempt to hunt turkey.

Trooper made contact with a vehicle and trailer Saturday evening at Memaloose eastbound rest area that matched the description of a region wide broadcast of a suicidal subject. After several attempts to make contact in the trailer a subject could be heard inside moaning. Entry was made and the subject was located on the floor. There were several indications the subject attempted suicide by taking a large amount of pills. He was life flighted to a hospital in Portland. His belongings were seized for safe keepings and the vehicle and trailer were towed. A report was taken.

An identity theft report was taken Monday afternoon from the state police office after a local victim came into report someone used her credit card was used in California.

Gilliam County

Spencer Jeffery Charles Gibbons, 29, Arlington, was arrested Friday evening in his home on a Morrow County warrant for contempt of court.

Jason Jerome Fox, 32, Kennewick, Wash., was arrested Sunday evening during a traffic stop at a location undisclosed by the department and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Regional Jail

Stephen Keith Taggart, 24, Salem, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for probation violation. He is also accused of supplying contraband into a correctional facility.
