Ballot return rate for May 20 at 16.87%

The ballot return rate for the Tuesday, May 20, primary election stood at 16.87 percent as of press time Tuesday, according to the Wasco County Clerk’s office.

The number of ballots are up from the 2012 primary but down almost a full percentage point from 2010.

Ballots were sent to 12,895 registered voters and must be returned to the county courthouse, 313 Court Street, by 8 p.m. May 20. They should be mailed by Friday to make that date.
