Accidents

The Dalles City

May 19, 8:55 a.m. – Vehicle versus bicyclist, unknown injury crash, West 4th and West 3rd place. Information was not released on the events of this crash. A report was taken.

May 19, 3:18 p.m. – Single vehicle, unknown injury crash, location near Sorosis Park. Vehicle went off roadway and over hill. A report was taken and the vehicle was towed.

Wasco County

May 16, 1:06 p.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Highway 197 and Endersby Cut-off Road. Caller reported a pickup that rolled over into a ditch. Contact was made with the male driver who stated he fell asleep after heading back to his home from dropping a friend off. A report was taken and the vehicle was towed.

Oregon State Police

May 18, 11:03 a.m. – Three vehicle, injury crash, Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 114. Three motorcyclists were riding together in the fast lane when they drove up on a large piece of wood they were unable to avoid. Two of the drivers suffered minor injuries from the crash; a third was transported to the hospital for a head injury. All three motorcycles were towed. A report was taken.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

May 18, 9:23 p.m. – Personnel responded to East 1st and Federal streets on a report of flames in the area. Police were first on scene and advised that it was methane burning off. The area was checked and confirmed it was methane burning off. No problem found.

Personnel also responded to eight calls for emergency medical services on Friday, eleven on Saturday, six on Sunday and six on Monday.

The Dalles City

A theft report was taken Friday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after an employee reported some money was taken from a resident within the past month.

A criminal mischief report was taken Friday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after an employee advised two large rocks were thrown at a back entry door breaking the glass.

Police located a wanted subject at East 2nd and Federal streets Friday afternoon who was with his toddler. He was cited and released in lieu of arrest for his warrant due to having no childcare for the toddler. A report was taken.

Adreain Anthony Giddings, 27, 2811 West 9th St., was arrested Friday afternoon in his home on a municipal court warrant for contempt of court.

Jeanette Eva Williams, 46, 2510 West 2nd St. No. 22, was arrested Friday evening in her home and is accused of two counts of first-degree theft, second-degree animal neglect, and resisting arrest.

William Jackson Lewis, 55, no listed address, was arrested Friday evening in the 800 block of East 13th Street on a municipal court warrant for failure to appear.

Conan Stefano Iaulualo, 26, 3640 West 13th St. Unit E6, was arrested Friday evening in the 2700 block of West 7th Street and is accused of parole violation.

An informational report was taken Saturday morning from a location undisclosed by the department after a female caller reported a male subject drove by her intentionally multiple times, violating a stalking order. The suspect also called police advising that the female victim chased him down in her vehicle to take a picture of him while he was driving a work truck in the area. Both were counseled on their actions.

Police responded to a location undisclosed by the department Saturday afternoon after a caller reported coming home to find a female he did not know inside drinking his beer. He asked her to leave and she would not. Contact was made with the suspect who was trespassed from the property.

A third-degree theft report was taken Saturday evening from the 3600 block of West 10th Street after a caller reported some memorabilia was taken from the school district museum sometime during the afternoon.

Police responded to the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street Saturday evening after an employee reported they had a juvenile male subject in custody for shoplifting. The subject was cited for third-degree theft and possession of methamphetamines. He was released to a family member at the mother’s request.

A runaway report was taken Saturday evening from a location undisclosed by the department.

William Dale Surratt, 45, Hillsboro, was arrested early Sunday morning in the 1400 block of West 6th Street on a Washington County warrant for parole violation.

Police responded to a location undisclosed by the department Sunday morning after a caller witnessed a male subject looking through the windows of the neighbor’s home and vehicles. Officer searched the area but no subject was found.

An informational report was taken Sunday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after a caller received a threatening text message from an unknown number. The incident is under investigation.

Police responded to 4th Street Grade Sunday evening after a caller reported a male subject in the area was flipping off passing cars in the area. Contact was made with the suspect who was asked to move along.

Fred James Jurado, 40, 2218 East 13th St., was arrested Monday morning at West 8th and Union streets and is accused of three counts of identity theft and three counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.

A sexual assault report was taken Monday morning after a victim calling from Goldendale advised she was sexually assaulted in The Dalles. The incident is under investigation.

A criminal mischief report was taken Monday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported his vehicle was vandalized.

A runaway report was taken Monday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department.

An agency assist report was taken Monday evening from a location undisclosed by the department after a caller was reporting suspected child abuse. The case was referred to Wasco County as the incident took place outside of city limits.

Kevin Ray Flowers, 47, 1714 E. 9th St., was arrested Monday evening in the 400 block of West 8th Street and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

A criminal mischief report was taken Monday evening from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported his vehicle was keyed.

Elvin Dwane Buck, 57, 3830 W. 6th St. No. 3, was arrested early Tuesday morning in his home and is accused of fourth-degree domestic assault and strangulation.

David Floyd Etcher, 59, 2510 W. 2nd St. No. 29, was arrested early Tuesday morning in his home and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines and unlawful possession of hydrocodone.

Wasco County

An informational report was taken Saturday evening from Maupin after staff reported a resident left their facility to visit family for the past week and when she returned there were signs that she had been neglected. The incident is under investigation.

A male driver was cited and released for driving while suspended Saturday evening during a traffic stop on Forest Service Road 48. He was allowed to retain his vehicle.

Silas Wyley Howtopat, 37, Goldendale, Wash., was arrested early Sunday morning at West 6th and Webber streets on a Hood River County warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Deputy located a runaway juvenile early Sunday morning at a location undisclosed by the department and was returned to his home.

Tammy Gay McClain, 49, 1047 Irvine St., was arrested Sunday afternoon at her home on a municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Steven Jospeh Klopp, 32, no listed address, was arrested Sunday afternoon on Highway 30 near Adeline Way on a Multnomah County warrant for two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Thomas Chip Willis, 37, Parkdale, was arrested Sunday evening during a traffic stop on Highway 197 northbound, milepost 3 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and recklessly endangering.

Edward Ronald Hein, 50, 2510 West 2nd St. No. 311, was arrested Sunday evening in the 700 block of Lincoln Street on a circuit court warrant for parole violation.

A theft report was taken Monday evening from Heritage Landing after a victim reported some kayaking equipment was taken from his vehicle.

Kenneth Lance Roberts, 47, no listed address, was arrested early Tuesday morning in the 2500 block of West 2nd Street on a Hood River county warrant for failure to appear.

Oregon State Police

Joseph Anthony Meeuwsen, 35, Hillsboro, was arrested early Friday morning at the hospital and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, and fourth-degree assault.

A male suspect was cited for fishing in a closed area Saturday morning at 15 Mile Creek. Game trooper had spotted illegal fishing nets in the area and waited for suspect to check the nets. The nets were confiscated.

A male driver was cited and released for no operator’s license and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Robert Raymond Gillis, 83, Camas, Wash., was arrested Sunday morning on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 145 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

David Scott Zimmerman, 52, Boise, Idaho, was arrested Sunday evening at Meyer State Park and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was also arrested on a circuit court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

A found property report was taken Monday afternoon from Biggs Junction after a subject located a handbag full of money. The owner was tracked down and arrangements were made to have the property mailed to him as he was from out of the country.

Sherman County

Lonny Dean Blanchard, 49, Moro, was arrested Monday afternoon during a traffic stop on Highway 97 at milepost 16 on a Skamania County warrant for being a fugitive from the state of Washington.

Gilliam County

Arley Jay Hamilton, 55, Hermiston, was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 141 and is accused of driving while suspended.

Keith Gilbert Shaw, 45, Moscow, Idaho, was arrested Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 near milepost 134 and is accused of unlawful possession of marijuana.

James Carlyle Stewart, 53, Post Falls, Idaho, was arrested Monday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 135 and is accused of unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon.

Regional Jail

Corina Lynn Shockey, 51, 310 East 12th St., was transported by Klickitat County and jailed Friday after being arrested on a circuit court warrant for six counts of first-degree failure to appear.

Jorge Daniel Alcantar Avila, 18, 2412 West 10th St. No. 84, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for unlawful delivery of marijuana within 1000 feet of a school.

Alexis Nichole Goodman, 26, 3604 West 8th St., was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for identity theft.

Michael James Minson, 19, no listed address, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for harassment.

Thor Lynn, 43, 1220 West 8th St. No. 34, was arrested Monday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of two counts of violating post-prison supervision sanctions.

William Michael Sherburne, 28, 5975 Fivemile Rd., was arrested Monday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.
