Letter to the editor: Time for change

To the editor:

This is a very important year to make sure you are registered to vote and to find out more about our candidates. Will we continue to support those in office who love to spend money that we don’t have? We have a governor who wanted to go along with our president on health care. Do we have the figures of this financial failure? It is time for a change.

Get to know a great candidate that I have known for 10 years. Dennis Richardson has been a state legislator for many years. He knows our state is in financial problems. He will govern from Salem.

Monica Wehby’s children asked her why she would do this after her many years of education and being a doctor. Her response: Because you have no future. Monica lives in Portland. That gives us a chance of winning a race for the senate seat since Portland outvotes us. Jeff Merkley is fussing about the Koch brothers giving some money for some ads. Well, at this point, Merkley has $9.15 million in funds and Wehby is at $2.04 million. Same story on the governor — Kitzhaber. Will money put him back in office, or your votes? Find out some facts. The GOP has some literature at our headquarters at 213 E. Third St.

And be sure you vote for Rod Runyon. Keep him as county commissioner. He is very active in many organizations.

Bobbie Miller
