To the editor:
Ms. Skov and Mrs. Wenzel would like to send out a huge thank you to the community for their support of our knitting class at the high school. Since the beginning of the year we have received countless donations including yarn, knitting needles and money for additional supplies.
Our students love the selection of yarn to choose from for their knitting projects, and the wide variety of different sizes and styles of needles has allowed students to try different projects.
We have also received the priceless gift of time from many wonderful volunteers that show up each week to teach and mentor students learning this life-long skill.
Without the volunteers helping in the classroom, Ms. Skov and I would never be able to accommodate teaching 40 or more students at one time. Imagine, 40 students learning a brand new skill, with only two teachers!
It is a pleasure to know that our community is so supportive.
Thank you to all who have helped in any way, large or small, it all adds up to the greater good!
