Accidents

The Dalles City

July 3, 5:19 p.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, West 10th and Pomona Street. Parked pickup rolled away and struck a fire hydrant. A report was taken.

July 3, 9:01 p.m. – Two vehicle, injury crash, West 4th and Liberty streets. One driver was cited and released for failure to obey a traffic control device and no operator’s license. A passenger of one of the vehicles was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. A report was taken.

July 6, 8:56 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, West 6th and Hostetler streets. One driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. A report was taken.

July 6, 1:48 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 400 block of Washington Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

July 6, 3:27 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 300 block of East 3rd Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

Wasco County

July 5, 12:36 p.m. – Two vehicle, injury crash, Highway 216 and Reservation Road. Vehicle struck a motorcyclist. A report was taken.

Oregon State Police

July 3, 10:14 p.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 135. Driver struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle was towed and a report was taken.

July 5, 3:32 a.m. – Single vehicle, injury crash, Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 104. Motorcyclist lost control and crashed into vehicle.

He was life-flighted to Yakima for injuries sustained in the crash. He was also cited for careless driving and a report was taken.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

July 3, 12:32 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 4400 block of Highway 30 on a report of a flare up. The hot spot was located and the fire was extinguished.

July 3, 11:34 p.m. – Personnel responded to East 13th and Federal streets on a report of a grass fire. A small dry patch of grass was found on fire and was extinguished. The cause was most likely fireworks.

July 4, 2:44 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 5900 block of Highway 30 on a report of a tree fire. A power line was found arcing in a tree. The fire extinguished.

July 4, 6:39 p.m. – Personnel responded to Highway 30 near the entrance to the Discovery Center on a flare up. The hot spot was located and extinguished.

July 5, 5:02 p.m. – Personnel responded to Dallesport to assist on a large grass fire.

July 6, 5:18 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 3600 block of Klindt Drive on a report of a brush fire. A small smoldering spot of bark chips was found in the landscaping and was extinguished.

Personnel also responded to four calls for emergency medical services on Thursday, six on Friday, eight on Saturday, eight on Sunday and seven on Monday.

The Dalles City

Police responded to the 2500 block of West 6th Street Thursday morning after an employee reported several subjects rented a motel room and destroyed it. The male and female subjects were located later in the afternoon in the 700 block of Lee Street and were cited and released for second-degree criminal mischief and first-degree criminal trespass.

A theft report was taken Thursday afternoon from the 1200 block of West 10th Street after a victim reported money was missing from his wallet.

A criminal mischief report was taken Thursday afternoon from the 1000 block of Court Street after a caller reported graffiti was applied to her garage.

Mitzi Belle Wickerham, 35, The Dalles, was arrested early Friday morning in the 3300 block of West 10th Street and is accused of probation violation, contempt of court, and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Stephen Anthony LaRoque, 25, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, was arrested early Saturday morning in the 200 block of West 2nd Street and is accused of second-degree criminal mischief.

A hit and run report was taken Saturday evening from the 100 block of West 3rd Street.

Dennis Lee Butler, 34, The Dalles, was arrested Saturday evening in the 700 block of Pleasant Court and is accused of interference with a police officer. Veronica Lee Davis, 43, The Dalles, was also arrested and is accused of probation violation.

Lyle Shane Ames, 25, The Dalles, was arrested Saturday evening in the 1600 block of Montana Street and is accused of violation of a release agreement. Kenneth Lyle Ames, 49, The Dalles, was also arrested and is accused of improper use of 911.

A stolen vehicle report was taken Saturday evening from the 700 block of East 2nd Street.

Pablo Mora, 27, The Dalles, was arrested early Sunday morning during a traffic stop in the 800 block of East 11th Street and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Lea Hanna, 62, The Dalles, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 300 block of West 8th Street and is accused of harassment.

An assault report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 500 block of West 11th Street after a victim reported a male suspect came onto his property and assaulted him. The incident is under investigation.

Kevin Ray Flowers, 48, The Dalles, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 1300 block of West 2nd Street and is accused of four counts of probation violation and unlawful possession of heroin.

Robert Adin Chase Jr., 49, The Dalles, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 2500 block of West 8th Street and is accused of probation violation.

A hit and run report was taken Sunday evening from the 2100 block of West 6th Street.

A theft report was taken Sunday evening from the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street after a victim reported his wallet was stolen.

Jose G. Rizo, 24, Boardman, was arrested Monday morning in the 200 block of Webber Street and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Michael David Shinnick, 44, The Dalles, was arrested Monday morning in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street and is accused of parole violation.

Charles Lee Keller, 38, The Dalles, was arrested Monday morning and is accused of fourth-degree assault.

A stolen vehicle report was taken Monday morning from the 1700 block of East 19th Street.

An agency assist report was taken Monday morning from the police station after a Nevada resident advised that her tenant renting her home in Nevada is attempting to sell the home. The report will be forwarded to the authorities in Nevada.

An informational report was taken Monday morning from the 600 block of West 2nd Street after a caller reported his mother-in-law lost some medicine at the location and it could not be found.

Bailey Teryn Wilde, 19, no listed address, was arrested Monday afternoon at West 7th and Pentland streets and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

A second-degree burglary report was taken Monday afternoon from the 400 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported his garage was broken into.

James Earl Mulvaney, 21, The Dalles, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 200 block of Webber Street and is accused of probation violation.

Jerry Duane Vowels, 57, The Dalles, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 2500 block of West 2nd Street and is accused of probation violation.

A hit and run report was taken Monday afternoon from West 6th and Mt. Hood streets.

Police responded to West 4th and Liberty streets Monday evening after a caller reported observing a male subject pointing a gun in the area. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

Wasco County

A hit and run report was taken Thursday evening from the 3300 block of Browns Creek Road.

A traffic hazard report was taken Friday morning from Highway 30 near Marsh Cutoff Road after a van was parked off the side of the highway partially blocking a lane. The vehicle was towed.

A hit and run report was taken Friday evening from Wamic after a victim reported her car was struck in a parking lot causing extensive damage to her vehicle.

Deputy responded to the 3600 block of West 13th Street Saturday evening after a caller reported observing two subjects trespassing at the old middle school.

Subjects were located and cited and released. A report was taken.

Jason Jay Begay, 24, Wishram, Wash., was arrested Sunday morning at Celilo Village and is accused of fourth-degree domestic assault.

Deputy responded to Pine Hollow Sunday morning after a victim reported his boat was damaged while tied up to the docks. A report was taken.

An informational report was taken Sunday afternoon on the Deschutes River after a sunken drift boat was located.

A hit and run report was taken Monday afternoon from Wamic.

A criminal mischief report was taken Monday evening from Mosier after a victim reported her front door was tampered with.

Oregon State Police

Henry Duane Wentz, 60, Rufus, was arrested Thursday evening during a traffic stop in Rufus and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A stolen vehicle report was taken Friday morning from the 7000 block of Eightmile Road.

Robert Michael Shailer, 68, Pendleton, was arrested Friday afternoon near Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 122 and is accused of two counts of menacing.

Ricardo Morone Martinez, 40, Kennewick, Wash., was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 115 on two out of state warrants.

Rafael Romero Aguilera, 19, Stockton, Calif., was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 78 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Courtland Sherman Rhoades, 58, Umatilla, was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop near the eastbound Memaloose rest area on a warrant for failure to appear.

Josue Luis Hernandez, 24, The Dalles, was arrested early Sunday morning near the marina and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct.

An informational report was taken Monday morning from the 3300 block of Bret Clodfelter Way after a male suspect came in to register as a sex offender and did not do so in the time frame requested.

The incident is under investigation.

Sherman County

Thomas Lloyd Kelsey, 47, Deer Park, Wash., was arrested Saturday evening near Interstate 84, milepost 114 and is accused of first-degree criminal trespass, first-degree criminal mischief, and first-degree theft.

Gilliam County

Christopher Aaron Smith, 23, Vancouver, Wash., was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84, milepost 149 on a warrant for failure to appear.

Russell Douglas Pattee, 25, Condon, was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop in Condon and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Regional Jail

Chance Raymond Graham, 27, The Dalles, was jailed Friday on a court commitment for probation violation.

Kathy Jo Campbell, 52, The Dalles, was jailed Saturday on a circuit court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Fernando Casillas Garcia, 31, Gresham, was jailed Monday on a court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Joanne Elizabeth Rawls, 46, Dufur, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for first-degree criminal mistreatment and third-degree theft.
