Loose gravel

CREWS CLEAN loose gravel from the surface of Scenic Drive in preparation for paving as the first phase of a stabilization project nears completion June 17. Crestline Construction undertook the project to begin stabilizing a slide area along East Scenic Drive at a cost of over $1 million in January. The ground conditions causing deterioration along the section of roadway between Jefferson Street and Esther Way – the 600 to 900 blocks — are set to be improved over a period of several years, funded by the City of The Dalles.
