Accidents

The Dalles City

March 29, 11:14 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, West 3rd and Liberty streets. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

March 29, 9:21 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, West 7th and Myrtle streets. Officer assisted with the exchange of information. One driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. A report was taken.

March 30, 5:53 p.m. – Single vehicle, injury crash, 400 block of East 3rd Street. Driver was going to pull into a parking spot but hit accelerator instead of brake crashing into a parked car. No citations were issues and information was exchanged. A report was taken.

Wasco County

March 27, 9:39 p.m. – Single vehicle, unknown injury crash, 5600 block of Mill Creek. Deputy spotted an abandoned motorcycle in the ditch. It appeared to be a low speed crash with no property damage, the incident was logged.

March 29, 3:35 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, 3400 block of Three Mile Road. Driver stated he was driving with his truck and trailer when it began to sway and he lost control of the vehicle causing it to jackknife. A report was taken.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

March 27, 11:08 p.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 eastbound, exit 85 off ramp on a report of a vehicle fire. Driver stated she was moving some items across town and observed flames in the back of her truck. She pulled what was on fire out to keep other items from burning. The fire was extinguished by the crew with an extinguisher.

March 28, 10:17 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 800 block of West 12th Street on a report of a smoke detector activation. Front door as unlocked, no fire or smoke inside the home. One resident was home and did not know the alarm was activated. No problem was found.

Personnel also responded to 12 calls for emergency medical services on Friday, 10 on Saturday, seven on Sunday and eight on Monday.

The Dalles City

Logan James Goodman, 20, Clarkson, Wash., was arrested Friday morning in the 400 block of Liberty Street and is accused of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Rodney Keith Washington, 49, Buxton, was arrested Friday morning during a traffic stop at West 4th and Liberty streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, two counts of unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of oxycodone, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, recklessly endangering another person, and unlawful manufacturing of marijuana.

Police responded to the 2800 block of West 8th Street Friday afternoon after a caller reported his son stole some items from the home. A theft report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

Police responded to City Park Friday afternoon after a caller reported two subjects were drinking alcohol in the park. Contact was made with the suspects and it was determined only one was drinking, he was cited for drinking in public and released. A report was taken.

Police responded to the 300 block of West 7th Street Friday afternoon after a caller reported a wanted juvenile subject was in the area. The juvenile was located and arrested on a Klickitat County warrant and was also cited for minor in possession of tobacco.

Police responded to the 2800 block of West 7th Street Friday afternoon after a mother reported her juvenile daughter was hitting her. The juvenile was transported to the juvenile department and is accused of harassment.

A criminal mischief report was taken Friday afternoon from the 1000 block of Heritage Way after a victim reported many items in the area were tagged with graffiti.

Police responded to the 1500 block of West 1st Street Friday evening after an employee reported a package was found in the facility containing marijuana. The package was seized and a report was taken.

Jabier Montes Deoca Abarca, 22, Houston, Texas, was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop near the roundabout and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday morning from the 400 block of West 8th Street after a caller reported graffiti was applied to her garage.

A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday morning from the 400 block of West 7th Street after a caller reported graffiti was applied to the property.

A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday morning from the 600 block of East 14th Street after a victim reported one of her glass doors appears to have been shot by a bb gun.

A runaway report was taken Saturday morning from the 2800 block of West 7th Street.

A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday morning from City Park after staff reported graffiti was applied to the stairs.

Jenny Marie Blake, 38, The Dalles, was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop at West 6th and Trevitt streets and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. She was also arrested on a municipal court warrant for failure to appear.

An assault report was taken early Sunday morning from the hospital after a victim came in and reported a male suspect assaulted them. The incident is under investigation.

A hit and run report was taken Sunday morning from East 2nd Street and the Boat Basin Overpass after a stop sign was knocked down.

A criminal mischief report was taken Sunday morning from the 300 block of East 8th Street after a victim reported his property was tagged with graffiti.

Jaron Duane Eddy, 28, The Dalles, was arrested Sunday afternoon at West 6th and Hostetler streets and is accused of harassment, third-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree criminal trespass.

A criminal mischief report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 1100 block of East 9th Street after a victim reported her garage was tagged with graffiti.

A burglary report was taken Sunday evening from the 1100 block of Emerson Street after a victim reported her home was ransacked.

A runaway report was taken Sunday evening from the 700 block of Richland Court.

A custodial interference report was taken Monday afternoon at the police station, the incident is under investigation.

A stolen vehicle report was taken Monday evening from the 100 block of West 3rd Street.

A theft report was taken Monday evening from the 700 block of East 15th Street after a victim reported some bags of cans were stolen.

A burglary report was taken early Tuesday morning from the 200 block of Washington Street after a victim reported her business was broken into overnight.

Wasco County

An agency assist report was taken Friday afternoon from the 2100 block of East 12th Street.

A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday afternoon in Wamic after a victim reported a golf cart was taken from the property then returned broken. The incident is under investigation.

Corey Allen Chuck, 32, Tygh Valley, was arrested in Tygh Valley Saturday evening on an out of state warrant.

A theft report was taken Monday morning from the 3800 block of West 10th Street after a victim reported a bicycle was stolen from her property.

A burglary report was taken Monday afternoon from the 4700 block of Simonelli Road after a victim reported his home was broken into.

Thor Lynn, 44, The Dalles, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 4100 block of Chenowith Road and is accused of probation violation.

An agency assist report was taken Monday evening from the 3800 block of Fifteen Mile Road.

An agency assist report was taken Monday evening in Mosier after assisting state police with a crash.

An agency assist report was taken Friday morning from the jail after assisting city police with a drug arrest.

Patrick K. Njenga, 28, South Bend, Indiana, was arrested Sunday evening during a traffic stop on River Road and Crates Way and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Jorge Ernesto Henriquez Hernandez, 30, The Dalles, was arrested Monday morning during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 69 and is accused of driving while suspended.

A hit and run report was taken Monday afternoon from Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 86.

Jesse Allen Stefonek, 32, Portland, was arrested Monday evening in the 3300 block of Bret Clodfelter Way and is accused of probation violation.

Louis Maurice DeMoss, 34, The Dalles, was arrested Monday evening in Mosier and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. He crashed his vehicle and was found in the area.

Gilliam County

Eric Solorzano, 20, Hillsboro, was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 137 and is accused of recklessly endangering and reckless driving.

Regional Jail

Joanne Lynn Keys, 48, Mitchell, was jailed Friday on a circuit court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Michael Shane Stephens, 43, The Dalles, was jailed Friday after turning himself in on a municipal court warrant for first-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
