Christmas gifts needed

The Salvation Army is in need of individuals and groups to adopt families for Christmas. Participants purchase gifts, or gifts and food, for the family’s Christmas celebration.

Deadline for gifts to be dropped off at the Salvation Army for distribution is Dec. 17. A total of 187 families need help for the holidays – To adopt a family, contact RaeAnne at the Salvation Army, 541-296-6417, by Dec. 15.

The Salvation Army is also organizing the 2015 “Tree of Giving” program, which also provides gifts for children. Each Tree of Giving is hung with tags naming a person in need and listing gift suggestions on the back.
