Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

September 2, 9:53 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 700 block of Court Street on a report of a bark chip fire. The fire was out prior to arrival. Units assessed and cleared the scene.

Personnel also responded to five calls for emergency medical services on Wednesday.

The Dalles City

A criminal mischief report was taken Tuesday afternoon from the 200 block of East 2nd Street after a victim reported someone sprayed something in his vehicle’s while the windows were down.

A theft report was taken Tuesday evening from the 2600 block of West 10th Street after a victim reported his bicycle was stolen.

Lawrence Dare Wilde, 69, The Dalles, was arrested Wednesday morning during a traffic stop at East 3rd and Washington streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Mark Weston Griffin, 38, The Dalles, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street and is accused of second-degree theft.

A harassment report was taken Wednesday afternoon from the 1200 block of Dry Hollow Road after a caller reported his brother threatened him and spit in his face.

A hit and run report was taken Wednesday evening from the 300 block of West 3rd Street.

A theft report was taken Wednesday evening from the 1000 block of West 8th Street after a victim reported his bicycle was stolen.

A theft report was taken Wednesday evening from the 800 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported some items were stolen from his home.

Wasco County

A theft report was taken Wednesday morning from the 3500 block of Olney Road after a property owner reported an ATV was stolen.

Deputy responded to the 100 block of Dodson Road on a report of criminal mischief. Victim reported his vehicle and travel trailer were ransacked overnight. A report was taken.

A burglary report was taken Wednesday morning from the 5600 block of Wahtonka Road after a victim reported having some items stolen from his home.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Wednesday morning from Tygh Valley after a victim reported her vehicles were gone through.

Marshall Allen Johnson, 33, Dufur, was arrested Wednesday evening in Dufur and is accused of possession of burglary tools. He was also arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

Oregon State Police

An agency assist report was taken Wednesday morning from the regional jail after assisting city police with a drug recognition evaluation.

An agency assist report was taken Wednesday morning in Arlington after assisting Gilliam County with a drug recognition evaluation.

Trooper responded to Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 96 on a report of a wrong way driver. Driver was located and was determined that the elderly driver was confused. The vehicle was seized and the driver and his wife were given a ride to The Dalles. A report was taken.

Regional Jail

Connor Macleod Chapman, 24, Banks, was jailed Wednesday on a court commitment for contempt of court and probation violation.

Rebekah Jo Killian, 32, The Dalles, was transported and jailed Wednesday after being arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear.

Parole & Probation

Tiffany Maria Barajas, 22, The Dalles, was arrested Wednesday evening in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation and parole violation.
