The Dalles city

Aug. 2, 2:58 p.m. – A vehicle backed up and hit another in a parking lot in the 1400 block of West Sixth Street, damaging the taillight. Information exchanged.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

Aug. 2, 10:17 p.m. – Crews dispatched to the 1800 block of East 19th Street on a panel alarm. Employees at the location reported they made popcorn and burned some, which set off the alarm. Alarm reset.

Personnel also responded to five calls for emergency medical service.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Police were asked to assist with a man at the state police office in the 3300 block of Bret Clodfelter Way Tuesday morning. The man was very agitated and had a 12-inch metal spike in his pocket. The person was upset because his vehicle was stolen. The man wanted police to stop every vehicle leaving the in lieu site because he believed the suspect might be hiding in one of them. The man left and walked toward the in lieu site. Intertribal police were called to be made aware of it.

A caller in the 1700 block of West Sixth Street reported Tuesday morning her vehicle was gone through while stored at that location and she was very upset because the employee won’t let her go into the vehicle. The woman was advised it was a civil matter, not a police matter.

A man who had earlier complained at the state police office about his vehicle being stolen was reported to have assaulted a man at the in lieu site Tuesday morning, and then fled on foot. The suspect was reported to still have the piece of pipe in his pocket as well as a chain, which was used in the assault. Brandon David Johnson, 28, no address listed, was arrested in the 500 block of Lone Pine Tuesday morning and is accused of unlawful entry into motor vehicle, second-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree assault.

A caller in the 300 block of East 8th Street reported Tuesday morning she got a tip where some of her stolen items are located and she can see the items in a SUV. The vehicle left before officer arrival.

A man in the 900 block of Pomona Street reported Tuesday morning a dog running loose followed his wife into the house. The dog was picked up and returned to its owners.

A woman in the 1000 block of East 19th Street called dispatch Tuesday morning and gave her address, then disconnected. She was called back and the woman said, “no context.” She was asked if she needed a medic or police and said “police.” No further information was given. Police tried to find the address she provided, but it does not exist.

Jeana Marie Green, 43, The Dalles, was arrested at West First and Union and is accused of second-degree criminal trespass.

A caller at 10th and Bridge reported Tuesday afternoon a dog at large was possibly injured. An officer found the dog just had pink paint on it and it was returned to its owner.

A caller in the 1500 block of East 21st Street reported Tuesday afternoon her son is schizophrenic and he shoved her against a wall and drove her out of the house and she fears for her safety and that of her mother, who also lives in the same house. An officer talked to her son, who said he did not want to hurt anyone and that he felt bad about getting mad at his mother.

A caller in the 1200 block of West Sixth Street reported Tuesday afternoon two kids took a shopping cart from a store and pushed it into traffic at one point. Police contacted the two suspects, who agreed to return the cart.

A caller in the 900 block of Pomona Street reported a friend passed away Tuesday afternoon. Police found no sign of trauma or apparent injury to the person, who lived alone.

A woman in the 500 block of West Eighth Street reported Tuesday evening two public works vehicles were blocking her driveway. Public works was called and said they would come move the vehicles.

A woman in the 300 block of East Eighth Place reported finding a stolen dirt bike Tuesday evening, and her boyfriend was talking to the suspect. Robin Jeffrey Scott, 30, The Dalles, was arrested in the 900 block of Court Street Tuesday evening and is accused of first-degree theft.

A caller reported a man who appears drunk was walking up Brewery Grade and going in and out of the middle of the road. The call was closed when it was reported a deputy spoke with the man’s mother.

A fight in the Lone Pine in lieu site was reported late Tuesday and a handgun was involved. Intertribal officers from Hood River did investigation.

A caller in the 1300 block of West First Street reported early Wednesday that theft occurs every night at the property. He requested extra patrols.

A caller in the 400 block of West Fourth Street reported a man was standing in a shed at a new house being built on Fourth Street. Officers found a man sitting on the steps near the sidewalk in front of the house, and he denied being on the property. He also did not fit the description given by the caller.

Wasco County

A caller in the 1000 block of First Street reported Tuesday afternoon a blue Mongoose mountain bike was left on her property for months. The bike was not stolen and the woman was told she could do what she wanted with it.

A caller in Maupin reported Tuesday afternoon a driver nearly hit them and they yelled at them to stay in their lane and the vehicle turned around and came back to the caller and the passenger displayed what looked like a firearm. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

A caller in the 3800 block of West 10th Street reported Tuesday Evening she bought an RV from a person in Hood River and she found a gun and wanted a deputy to pick it up. The weapon was an inoperable BB gun and the deputy did not take it.

Regional Jail

Woodrow Ray Picard, 21, Warm Springs, was transported to the regional jail on a probation violation warrant out of Wasco County.

Parole & Probation

Dennis James Hester, 37, The Dalles, was arrested in the 1300 block of West Sixth Street and is accused of probation violation and post-prison supervision sanction.

Jacob Lee Cheadle, 20, The Dalles, was arrested in the 1300 block of West Sixth Street and is accused of two counts of probation violation.

Siaasu Melei, 30, The Dalles, was arrested at Wasco County Circuit Court and is accused of post prison supervision sanction.
