Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

December 1, 10:41 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 400 block of Lincoln Street on a report of a possible gas leak. Contact was made with the manager who stated he had two employees smell gas in the building. The gas was shot off into the building prior to unit’s arrival. No sign of gas was detected inside. The gas company was going to schedule a system test for the building but the gas was to be left off until that test could take place.

December 1, 12:23 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 300 block of Court Street on a report of a fire alarm activation. Contact was made with maintenance staff upon arrival who stated this was another malfunction.

The Dalles City

A criminal mischief report was taken Thursday afternoon in the 100 block of Union Street after a victim reported two of his tires were deflated.

Jesus Sanchez Cardenas, 48, The Dalles, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 2500 block of West 2nd Street and is accused of endangering the welfare of a minor, first-degree theft by receiving, unlawful delivery of methamphetamine to a person under 18, two counts of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, and three counts of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

A runaway report was taken was taken Thursday evening from the 1700 block of West 10th Street.

Wasco County

Deputy responded to the 5000 block of Chenowith Road after a caller reported a neighbor’s dogs were attacking his chickens and one of the dogs even attempted to bit him. The dogs were located and taken to the animal shelter. The dog’s owner was cited for dog as a public nuisance. A report was taken.

Parole & Probation

Jacob David Wilson, 25, The Dalles, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of parole violation.
