Dec. 6, 7:51 a.m. – Two-vehicle, non-injury crash at East 10th and Dry Hollow. Driver going south on Dry Hollow was hit by the other driver who was heading west on 10th.

Dec. 6, 11:38 a.m. – Car vs. motorcycle crash at Third Street by Salvation Army. One driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way and the other driver was cited for having no driver’s license or insurance.


Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

Dec. 6, 5:49 p.m. -- MCFR dispatched on fire alarm at Super 8 Motel. On arrival, crew met and told it was a false alarm. Crew returned to quarters.

The agency responded to seven calls for emergency services on Tuesday.

The Dalles City

A man was given a ride early Sunday to the west end of town, where police were called by a restaurant asking that he leave. Later, he was seen pacing outside an apartment complex and he was trespassed from there also. He was told he could not contact a woman who lived there or he would be arrested.

A caller in the 1500 block of East 10th Street reported the theft of items that were delivered to her mother’s house. Report taken.

A caller in the 100 block of West Fourth Street reported Sunday morning he was robbed of $300 by a man who then threw his wallet in his face. The man didn’t want charges, but wanted his money back. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

A caller in the 1200 block of West Sixth reported Sunday afternoon that a transient was yelling at a lady. The two were sitting outside and said they didn’t feel well and may have been argumentative. They said they were losing their voices, so there would be no troubles.

A caller in the 200 block of West Third reported Sunday evening a person was talking a lot of nonsense, and wanted a welfare check on him. Police found it was a mentally ill man trying to collect gas money to leave town.

A caller in the 1800 block of East 15th Street reported Sunday evening that $195 Bushnell binoculars and $5 in change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. Report taken.

A car alarm was reported in a restaurant parking lot late Sunday. The car owner had a puppy in the car that set off the alarm.

A caller in the 300 block of Lone Pine reported Monday morning that a man had spent the night in a bathroom at their business.

A caller in the 900 block of Vey Way reported Monday morning that the previous night a neighbor had yelled at her uncle and now all of the uncle’s car windows are broken. Report taken.

A caller in the 2900 block of West Sixth Street reported Monday morning an employee pocketed a deposit worth $120. The employee admitted it and was cited for second-degree theft.

A caller in the 1700 block of East 11th Street reported Monday morning that her fence was broken overnight. Report taken.

A caller in the 1200 block of Kelly Avenue reported Monday afternoon a high school boy shoplifted a drink. The caller has two boys she always has to watch when they come in and would like them trespassed.

A woman went to the police station Monday afternoon to report her vehicle was hit while parked at a local store and she will have to replace the whole bumper. There was no video of the spot where she was parked. She was given a case number for insurance purposes.

A man came to the police station Monday afternoon to report another man blocked his vehicle in and yelled and tried to provoke a fight.

A semi backed into a parked car in a parking lot in the 21200 block of West Sixth Monday night. Information was exchanged.

A caller in the 2800 block of West Seventh Street reported Monday night that people in neighboring apartments are harassing her by chanting and threatening to hurt her and break in to her apartment. The woman told police she was psychic and could hear her neighbor’s thoughts. She wanted officer to run background check on them and give her info. He said he could not do that.

A caller in the 600 block of East Ninth Street reported on Tuesday morning she went to court to stop an eviction and now the landlord’s music is very loud. An officer responded and found the music was not unreasonable. The officer said the department would not respond to any more calls of that nature from the caller, who had made eight calls since late October. The caller said she was trying to move out, but couldn’t find an apartment.

A caller in the 100 block of West 13th Street reported Tuesday afternoon that a man in the unit downstairs was threatening her husband with a shotgun, and he pumped it. James Allen Linder, 18, the Dalles, was jailed on charges of menacing and pointing a firearm at another. The shotgun was seized.

A caller in the 1100 block of Emerson Street reported Tuesday afternoon that she and her boyfriend broke up and he took their 18-month-old son and won’t say where they are. Caller was encouraged to go to court and apply for visitation or custody.

A caller in the 800 block of Richland Court reported Tuesday afternoon that another person had been harassing her via Facebook messenger and just arrived at her house and pushed through the door. Previously, three male friends of the suspect came to the resident to fight, but they couldn’t because she is a girl. The caller was unsure about whether she wanted to press charges.

A caller in the 1100 block of West 18th Street reported Tuesday afternoon a grave marker was shoved over. Report taken.

A caller in the 900 block of East Seventh Street reported Tuesday afternoon her son was followed from the middle school to his residence during lunch today, and stood there for about 10 minutes before leaving.

A car was ticketed at 19th and Dry Hallow for parking in a no parking area Tuesday evening.

A caller in the 1200 block of West Sixth Street reported a man left the store without paying for an airgun. The man was found at another store and police recovered the gun, a baseball bat, black ski mask and football inside the vehicle. The items were seized and the subjects released.

A caller in the 2700 block of West Seventh Street reported Tuesday evening someone smashed their window while they were in a movie. Report taken.

A caller in the 900 block of Floral reported their window was smashed out Tuesday evening.

A damaged sign was noted in the 900 block of Heritage way Tuesday evening.

Vandalism to a driver’s door, apparently by a bb gun, was noted on Floral Street and a report was taken.

A caller in the 1000 block of West Sixth Street reported late Tuesday that a big front window on a building was broken out, but entry was not gained. Report taken.

A caller in the 1000 block of Floral Street reported late Tuesday that windows were just broken out in her vehicle.

A caller in the 1000 block of Floral Street reported a window in their vehicle was shattered late Tuesday.

Wasco County

On Monday morning, a caller reported trespassers on his property in the 6800 block of Mill Creek Road. Deputy responding could not locate anyone.

A cell phone was reported stolen Monday morning out of a pickup truck in a driveway in the 4200 block of Chenowith Creek Road. A golden diamond ring was also reported missing.

Car prowls were reported in the 3800 block of West 10th Street Monday morning. Caller had video showing two individuals, a male and a female, getting into parked cars, but they could not be located.

Deputies responded to a report of theft mail from a mailbox Monday afternoon in the 3800 block of West 10th Street.

On Monday afternoon, a caller in the 2900 block of Mill Creek Road reported her computer had been hacked in March, and party she paid to repair it did not do so. She called it a scam because the repair party, from another country, had called again asking to do more repairs to her computer. Deputies advised her to contact the Federal Trade Commission and to change her phone number to avoid harassing calls from alleged scammer.

Jeremy Eugene Tate, 44, of Carson, Wash., was arrested on Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of Webber Street and accused of parole violation.

Gilliam County

Richard Dean Machado, 57, of Oakley, Calif., was arrested Wednesday morning and accused of failure to appear-bench warrant.

Parole & Probation

John Michael Black, 61, of The Dalles, was arrested Tuesday morning near the Center for Living and accused of two counts of probation violation.

Tina Marie Linville, 37, of Dufur, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and accused of probation violation.
